possibly silly question,
is there a lens for the SS3 that is combo fog+flood? (I know this will not be fog legal, I'm looking for an ideal side shooting pattern)
I'd love to have a flood pattern that is as wide as a fog pattern, but with less cutoffs so i can see the trees and branches up above too.

Unfortunately, we don't offer or have plans to offer a flood + fog combo optic/lens at this time. Sorry about that!



We've provided above an example output graphic that showcases our current beam patterns offered.

 

that's a bummer. but the "real world output" pictorial you posted makes the flood pattern appear wider than the fog pattern.
looking through your website listing i see

Flood is listed as a 60x60deg pattern
Fog is 80 wide
combo is interestingly 65x25
with Driving as 18x8

Does the combo optics provide a wider spread than flood?

Our fog optic will be the widest and reach farther down the road than the flood. The flood optic is more of a "cone" shaped output, if you will.

Our combo optic utilizes both the flood and driving patterns, giving you a nice blend of strong foreground light and light far down the road. Because the optic is split between the two, the resulting beam pattern is different in width. This would be your best option based on what you're looking for!

You'll have to carefully drill it out then. I grabbed some of these 10-32 x 3/8 security screws. The 1/2" versions were too long.

I don't have enough clearance between the bottom of the ditch light mount and the hood to use these security pieces recommended in the video below. I might try and scoot the light over a pinch, but I doubt they'll fit. I might need to scoot the entire bracket up if possible, but I'm not sure the ss3's will clear the windshield with the hood open if I do. Guess I'll be unplugging and unbolting these for extended parking times.
