Got a splash of red installed,
Polyurethane steering rack bushings and
Sway bar bushings installed in an hour or so.

This has to be one of the best bang for the buck mod!=75.00
That steering wheel vibration at 60-65mph is completely gone.
If I had only known it was that easy

 

More updates,
Added a billet aluminum 333 steering clamp and JBA UCA.

 

Haltech can gauge installed today.
Pretty sweet!
It runs off the haltech ecu, so just plug and play with one small wire harness.
No 02 sensor or vacuum lines needed because it's reading everything off the ecu.
No needed for the

scangauge II as all that info is now available through the gauge and more if you want.
You have up to 10 pages available to program.
On each page you can have 1 or up to 4 different readings.
For the 4 different readings I have,
1) AFR
2) BOOST
3) ENGINE TEMP
4) INJECTOR DUTY CYCLE

Getting the rear elocker diff swapped in.
Cleaning and painting the new one.
Then getting the low range harness for plug and play setup to be able to activate it anytime

I am curious if this still is an issue or has it been solved?

My truck has been acting up lately maybe it just needs new clutch parts is all
Currently 309k miles on the 3.4

 

Can't find the problem, 2 dealership say it's the diff.

Two different diff rebuilder say diff is fine,
So I'm just driving it

That was an old video, since then I have added a 2” lift with kings and OEM springs.
Also a haltech ECU and I’m probably getting closer to 300mpg with the 16 gallon tank on 31x10.5x15” tires dyno pro ATM HANKOOK

 

@1997tacomav6 Couldn't resist the lift and bigger tires? Truck sounds like it is awesome still and only getting better.

 

Do you notice your gear ratio shift when adding 31"? you are at 4.1, right?

 

My single cab is the SX version and actually came with 31” from the factory on 15” rims.
I’ve thought about getting 16” rims but prefer to have a little more rubber on the sidewalls to try and keep the
ride just a little softer.

 

Are you satisfied 100% with those OME springs?

My trucks leafs are likely shot after 26 years of use... There are those high-speed road damage bumps especially in the Chicago area on highway 80 where the whole backend of the truck starts bouncing skipping into the next lane over, and not exactly sure why it does this

I am currently looking into custom-made springs by Alcan in grand junction Colorado, had you ever looked into what they can custom make?
They recommend pairing their springs with RadFlo coilovers and rear shocks which add a little lift over stock height but not much they told me.

It would be a massive expenditure on such an old truck, they quoted me nearly $4k for the whole package of goodies with install

 

The way I see it...
It all started in 2oo5

The bigger and more complex the newer tacos get then heck ya these old compact trucks are awesome still and keep getting better
And are completely paid off! also probably at the minimum of the yearly licensing fees of most states
