I installed my DSR1 the other day and have had weird issues today. I tried to connect to the DSR1 to adjust my EQ. Said it couldn’t find the unit (when it first showed connected on Bluetooth. I then couldn’t adjust the volume. Then volume went completely out. I dug the unit out(I have it behind the c-pillar on the passenger side) and unplugged it to reset, at which time the unit started working again.

once it was working I connected my phone to the unit to adjust the EQ. After a minute or two it lost the connection again and could not adjust the volume.

Has anyone had this kind of trouble? Rockford Fosgate was baffled and not really helpful since the person doesn’t deal with these. Starting to think this thing is junk.

are you using the apple or android app?

do you have access to another device that is the other type of OS to try the connection?

I am using the Apple app. No access to a device that has Android on it.

i would call back rockford fosgate and talk to them about trying a different unit. the bluetooth could very well be bad.

sometimes the app can be bonkers. i had that with a leviton bluetooth wall switch. the apple app worked fine, but it wouldn't connect for more than 5 seconds on the android app.
