What products are you guys using to keep the plastic trim looking black and not grayish? My truck is pretty new and the black fender flares on my OR and the trim around the mirrors are already starting to look a little grey. Anyone use a ceramic plastic trim coat like cerakote or anything similar?

Back to Black is a very good product and lasts weeks. I use the spray can version as it covers better.

This! Been using this on my jeep wrangler fender flares for years. They still look good.

I've also used 303 for years, but the Taco I recently purchased had some weird faded bits on the fender flares, around the mirrors, etc. that 303 wouldn't bring back.

So after a bunch of research I ordered Griot's Garage 10858 Black Shine Tire and Trim Restorer and actually used it just this morning. So far I'm very impressed. It smoothed out the grayish odd bits and made everything nice and satin black again. No idea how long it'll last. Some of the reviews said over a year... we'll see. But very happy with the results so far. Used it on some of the interior ABS as well as that odd textured material on the doors and over the glove compartment. Cleaned it all up very nicely as well. Left the satin sheen I prefer over the glossy/residue stuff other products leave.

Used the Mother's Back to Black and 303 UV Protectant others mentioned earlier and both work great for restoring and protecting the unpainted trim parts in my experience over the past couple years so far.

I don’t wash/detail the truck nearly as much as I should especially in fl. There is only 1 product I like that doesn’t need to be reapplied every couple washes or couple months. It’s not glossy/greasy, keeping the matte finish- gtechniq c4

I can’t remember exactly when I last applied it but noticed the hood deflector greying/whitish so did a solid clean with meguiars heavy duty vinyl cleaner/scrub brush (because of the textured surface), isopropyl solution, c4. This time I’ve decided to add a top layer of turtles ceramic spray coating. This should last at least a yr (not garage kept). Need to do the windshield cowl next

Solution finish. Other people recommending trim dressings doesn't really fix the issue. Just covers it up.

Solution finish actually dyes the plastic black again. One of the only things that will. Look up the pictures. They are real. Those are actual real results. It's safe for glass and paint if you get it there, just wipe it off. The smallest bottle they have will last you years and years.

Here's why I don't like the other stuff.

Back to black, doesn't actually change the color of the plastic, just cleans it, and shines it. You wash it off, plastic looks like crap again.

303 is freaking amazing, but it's not the correct product for the job, use solution finish, then coat it in 303 to protect from uv. 303 by itself isn't going to be at good of a result (but yeah 303 is amazing)

Ceramic coatings are good too, but I'd apply them over plastic that I've already actually fixed the coloring on (solution finish)

So, if you want the absolute best results (and have bookoo bucks) I'd:

Wash all the trim with soap and water (grime), follow up with vinegar(calcium and stuff buildup) then rubbing alcohol (clean the oils and rest of the stuff off.)

After that, use solution finish. Wipe on, wait, wipe off

Let it dry for a day or so, ceramic coat it

Let it dry for a day or 2, 303 it.

303 everything else while your at it, its the shit, but no it won't restore your trim by itself. It'll just make it look better.

303 is garbage, washes right off and streaks on paint in rain. Cerakote last long time.

My 2018 OEM tonneau cover is totally grey. Do you believe a 1oz bottle of Solution Finish will be enough? How should I apply to a large textured surface like this?

I've never used Solution Trim Finish, but they have before/after photos of a bed cover like you described. Might be worth a try...

I currently use 303, but yes it does wash off fairly easy. Adam's VRT, Jay Leno's Tire and Trim, Mothers Back to Black work, but are all greasy imo. I'd like to try a longer lasting ceramic like Gtechniq's C4 as I already have CSL and EXO V4 on the paint.

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
    Cerakote for outside plastics

    Klasse for inside plastics

Raggtopp cleaner and dressing for the tonneau.

After trying those I tossed my remaining 303.
