    Hi all,

I've recently realized the origin of a very annoying jolting rattle on my 2016 Tacoma- the plastic riser type thing that mounts the bed onto the frame has been worn into by the metal, so that one side of the bed jangles as the truck bumps along. I hope that inarticulate description makes sense. I was pretty surprised to see that the bed mounts are plastic... My only thought is to unbolt the bed, and fill in the bolt with a stack of washers, adding washers as the plastic erodes. Has anyone experienced this problem, and have a good solution?

I was recommended to put a flatbed on, but never had one, so not sure of the cost/return of that.

    Many thanks

Kind of lost me, there is a metal sleeve in the bed that contacts the frame support from above. Ever thought about tightening the bed bolt?

    Known problem since 2nd gen...
At least you're smart enough to know tightening bolts doesn't help...you'd be going about it the right way.

I have carried tons of junk in my 2011, zero bed issues. I have a 6 foot full size truck tool box I remove the second bolt in the bed to hold the locked tool box down (from the inside) for camping. No squeaks no rattles what are you all doing to theses things?

I placed rubber washers between the torx bolt and bed and between the bed mount and frame, which absorb the vibrations and don't erode away any longer, which I believe I got from the same thread linked earlier in this thread.
