Check this video out. I really like his channel. He goes into why we might be in for a disappointment with the 2024 TRD Pro.

I think he is right for the 0.2% of use cases. The other 99.8% of people will be fine.

A couple inches of travel difference for the Bro crowd is splitting hairs, looks like the dude lives in Ohio, does he have any experience pounding 3-4’ truck whoops in Baja? I have…. Pros, ZR2s, Raptors are a joke, I can break them real quick.

If you want to hammer off-road right out the box from the factory, buy a UTV.

Truth be told, most would be just fine with a base model. But there's a segment of buyers that want the best of the best, and they expect those models to have top shelf parts to go along with the higher price. However, I do agree with him in that Toyota "cheated" to get the extra 3" of width. Most won't utilize all of the potential of the top shelf trim from Toyota (TRD Pro), Chevy (ZR2), and Ford (Raptor). But if you're buying those trim levels, you are wanting something above the rest of the manufacturer's model lineup. As such, you're most likely wanting/hoping that the hardware in these top shelf trims "has the goods" and isn't just a sticker or wheel & flare package; you want the offroad bits.

No doubt the price is gonna be up there also Just wait until we see the backseat legroom with those seats. Will be big disappointment i would imagine unless they have some magical solution to that.

Came here to post the same video.

Counting the seat as "suspension travel" is beyond lame. I would say aggravatingly lame. Disappointing and disingenuous.

The 3 inches of width is also pathetic. In that case my negative offset 2021 SR is "3 inches wider" too. I HAVE A PRO GUYS.

I also wanted to mention that my stock Taco seats squish about an inch or so with my overweight ass.

    Cheapest 3rd gen mod?
