If you are in need of a replacement at this time or in the very, very near future then that sucks and I get it. I think the new tacomas look good, but I will wait for a couple of seasons before I think about replacing my 2018 and hopefully they work out some of the issues.

 

i can not image walking into a dealer today to get on a list for a 24. You might as well walk in with a drum of lube and your pants around your ankles.

 

I live in Colorado and in Aug of 2020, I went out of state for my TRD OR. $3800 below MSRP, worth the trip

I dont see you doing it, but Dont pay the markup. Do you belong to a Credit Union, Costco or Sams club, many have a buying service.

 

What do these buying services do for you?

For those looking for a Pro or TH I really hope the dealerships get more halo trim allocations this Gen. Not much harder to make these trims if at all than the standard trims. Don’t they want to make as much profit as possible. It is clear there is more demand than supply for the Pro/TH. People will pay the high MSRP so why not make more. A lot more.

 

the one at my credit union had dealers they worked with and got set prices. Most of the time it was a good or very good deal. The first time I used one was 1987, they found me a Toyota 4x4 turbo pickup in AZ and got it delivered to ABQ for less than one of the ABQ dealers wanted for the truck.

 

A $10,000.00 dealer markup financed 84mo so you can be the very first person to open a thread titled, “malfunctioning power tailgate”? Seems reasonable.

Found a dealer close to me that wants a $1,000 refundable deposit, will sell at MSRP and they do not add dealer added BS. Sounds like a No Lose opportunity. Thoughts?

 

So many people itt mad that others spend money in ways different than themselves.

 

As long as you're aware that port installed options are not dealer installed. Most likely they're talking about not installing window tint, nitrogen in tires, lift kits, etc. But I'd still expect they'll receive vehicles with whatever options are available in your region.

Toyota's fault for their way of ordering vehicles. I didn't mind the PIO on my truck, there is value in those options versus a dealer adding $899 for window tint that I can get done for $100.

 

Just following up… it turns out that this is actually frowned upon at my local dealership. And is anyone here a lawyer?
