Based on the 2022-2023 rankings RAM placed 17 while Toyota was first, so yea there is a big difference in 2023. Bud.

I gotta admit im not crazy about the hybrid options, from a service standpoint. The power is enticing though.

    If I end up in a 4th gen, it'll be a non-hybrid option.

Complete opinion and nothing fact based. Of course the third gen will depreciate like every vehicle made, but facts are it will less than most. Much better than any RAM out there.

Yeah I’m sure that list is legit, they have BMW ahead of Honda hahhahahhahahah

now, while i admit RAM might have some issues on some trucks- they sell a lot of modern diesels(which unfortunately are gimped by the EPA and cause issues)

I’m sure if you took a poll of actual owners of Hemi’s with the less electrical systems it would be up there with Toyota Tacomas. My uncles original engine/trans hemi attached.

you need to branch out to other manufacturers, you wouldn’t be so mind controlled by Toyotas reputation.

That’s fine, that’s literally 8% difference. And really that chart doesn’t show what everyone paid. I got about $15,000 off a $55,000 MSRP truck in a time of crazy vehicle inflation. I checked with Carvana and I could make money giving them this truck back right now. Local dealers would never sell for $15,000 off with the Hemi- it’s about to get discontinued and it’s legendary.

25/26 for sure will know more once it’s out- the 4th gen is a massive upgrade and gets Toyota in the modern era of vehicles

2024 MSRPs, crazy dealer markups, super high interest rates and a lack of availability will keep the value and resale of 3rd gens high.

Thanks I will enjoy my truck. What you don't know is I have owned many other vehicle brands, and currently do. Old Honda with almost 200K miles, a Mazda, and a Volkswagen currently. Yep had a GMC like the one you have, but in much better shape. And guess what I didn't care for it. Not a fan of the 5.3 engine with the cylinder deactivation which is trash at best. Third gen Tacoma isn't the be all end all. It is a really solid truck, and just because you think it is garbage doesn't make it so.

As long as you enjoy it that’s all that matters, considering the price I feel there was little value compared to the competition. Life is too short to think about 200k miles down the road IMO. Although, every truck I’ve ever owned and kept long term has lasted over 200k

I've started putting all non-Toyota owners on TW on ignore. It's amazing how much more positive the TW experience is now.

The last several months I've been keeping an eye on the resale value of my 18 OR and it has dropped several thousand dollars. Not sure if it has anything to do with the new model, but considering I've been wanting to get a bigger truck, I'm not thrilled with the situation

It's the used car market not the 24 model. Wholesale prices have fallen, and retail has come down a little as well, but not as much.
