Bumping this thread since I was dumb enough to blow the same 140A fuse. I cannot get the fuse box out. Read this 10x and maybe I'm missing something.

Any other tips that can possibly help? Cannot find anything else on TW or the internet for that matter. TIA

    Battery cables disconnected
All connectors to fuse/relay box disconnected
    Securing hardware of box removed
    Lift box, remove bottom tray
Module for those fuses has securing tabs that need to be pressed sideways

Had no idea those fuse cans were held in place like that, saved future me a couple gots and damns and reminder to keep some extra copper lugs to use in a limp instead of trying to do this on the trail.

I just went through this fusebox breakdown over the weekend and want to add one thing that I don't see people mentioning anywhere. There are also tabs on the underside of the fuse box that must be unclipped as well. The plastic is super cheap and the tabs break very easily, but I was still able to get it snapped back together pretty well. I also blew the 10a stop fuse and a few others, replaced those, and I still had to tow the truck to the dealer so they could reset the ECU and get it out of limp mode ($200). Hope this helps anyone having a problem getting that 140a fuse replaced.

so there are those clips (which are super easy to get to), but once those two pieces come apart, there are clips on the bottom side of the top section (super tricky to get to, and completely hidden unless you know they're there).
