Haha, I ordered a set of 1/4" Bora spacers. If they fix the rub issues I'll consider my life choices.

oh yeah, forgot about the 8" wheel... but the Resi's mount in the same location. Maybe the diameters are different. But there are also many other variables.

My Bora’s have been great so far! Wish I had gone with them initially, instead of SpiderTrax.

1/4” and 1/2” are shims more than spacers (reduce lug nut engagement) so I think I might buy a set of each, pull the coils and see which one cleans up my fit best and then correct the wheel.

Overkill but all in the name of science, right?

Hey guys, I’m planning on jumping to 315/75r16. I’ve got a CMC, fenders cut and viper cut on the front bumper to prepare. Have about a 2.25” lift in the front and 3” in the back. I’m pretty confident in all of that being good enough but my worry is that I have 16x8 wheels with 0mm offset. The backspacing according the their website is 4.527. I’m worried about rubbing my UCA’s and wanted to know what you guys think. I’m running Camburg UCA’s.

I suspect your tire will rub your UCA. And probably your pinch weld and cab mount as well.

Edit - your UCAs have built in caster as far as i know which will make the rubbing on the firewall worse

Definitely gonna rub uca at the very least, I have spc's set pretty far outboard and I only clear with spacers, which will naturally accentuate the rub elsewhere but that rub is more easy to cure than uca

Hey, what's your exact setup? I'm looking for something I can copy, instead of tgrying to work out 500 variables in my head.

315/75r16 Patagonia's on scs F5 16x8 0mm with 1.25" spacers. If you can find a -12mm wheel that might clear enough to not need the spacers but I really like my wheels so I'm making them work

What kind of lift are you running? How much trimming did you have to do?

For folks awaiting the results of my space experiment… sorry to disappoint! I thought it was silly to approach this from a wheel geometry perspective if all I was hitting was the reservoir, so, behold.

I had a local shop pull the Fox mount and put it on a brake and bend it back up above the frame rail. Voila, no rub. I can get a finger between the UCA and the wheel at full lock, so the 4.03” backspacing is totally fine with.

My friend did the same thing with a hammer, no need for a press brake.

Well shit, the bilstein resi brackets have 2 bent gussets perpendicular to your bends.

Yep — in hindsight I’d have done it with a hammer. I actually expected them to fab a new bracket and didn’t realize you could get such a clean bend over that frame member. Live and learn!

I’m running SCS wheels with -38 offset and rubbing here. What can I do to get rid of it?
