Vijay - 3rd Gen swing out rear bumper?

I know, I know. Pay for what you get....but.....I just can't shell out $3k+ for a swing out rear bumper. I saw the review on here of the Vijay front winch bumper....anyone tried out the 3rd or 2nd gen rear swing out tire carrier bumper yet? I know, made in China, etc.

I just ordered one for my second gen Tacoma. Figment was tight but over all I am very satisfied with it. Haven’t taken off road yet but seems to be pretty sturdy. Was a pain to install to truck but got it on and it’s not perfectly straight but hard to notice unless u really stare at it. I have had the front Vijay bumper installed for 3 years with zero problems

For the money, and what you get, I actually think it looks good, and seems to be pretty functional as well. How does the swing link look...robust enough for the long haul?

 

What thickness steel is used all around on that thing?

Yes I think so that’s a 285 size tire and the Jerry Can is full and it seems to be pretty stout so far. The led lights in back are cheap but they came with it wired them today and they look good. I would suggest you set them where u want before u install bumper to truck and tighten them down. The only complaint I have is one of the bearings it came with fell apart and all the rollers came out. I was able to find them all in the box and put it back together. Packed them with grease as well. U get what u pay for but I am super happy as of now. After I take it off road I will send an update on how it held up.

 

so yours has 2 LED rear lights on each side where the stock photos show 1 light and 1 shackle per each side. Did you mod this yourself or you ordered it without the shackle mounts in lieu of an extra led?

 

It came with two led’s on each side and two shackle mounts and shackles I just put different shackles to match my truck.

 

Also I purchased the one for a second gen Tacoma the third gen bumper looks like it just has one on each side

 

That’s not a rear bumper.
They’re less than $3k.
And closer to $0 if someone hits your truck.
