Kinda like how letting an engine idle for hours causes more wear than driving on the highway. I'm assuming less blood circulation.

I found my first “welcome to arizona” scorpions last night while outside with my dog. Signed up for pest control this morning because this Virginia boy ain’t fucking around with those.

Born and raised here. I've never seen on at my house. My cabin I get them all the time. They're not that bad of they get you. Bigger they are the safer they are.

This 1000000%. I fuckin hate ticks.

The house I'm at had a pretty bad scorpion infestation when I first moved in like 7 or 8 years ago. I'd find two or three per day inside the house and dozens out around the yard. Biggest improvement was eliminating their food source - someone who lived here previously had left a bunch of old rotting baseboard in the backyard right up against the foundation and there were tons of crickets breeding in it. Cleaning up that junk and clearing away any grass from the foundation of the house helped a lot.

DE is a good repellent but it gets washed/blown away pretty easily. Onslaught FastCap is better than what most of the pest guys around here use, and one bottle lasts me like 4 years if I spray ~3 times a year. I spray outdoors around the base of the foundation, doors/windows, and the eaves of the roof. Once a year I'll go around the whole property line too. This + a cheap sprayer is a lot cheaper than paying pest guys to half ass it: https://www.amazon.com/Onslaught-Fastcap-Scorpion-Insecticide-Scorpions/dp/B015BSTHAO

Went from finding 2-3 a day inside the house to maybe 6-8 a year.

No mods - just all the adventure gear in the back
absolutely this - and fire ants and termites, even though those two are sworn enemies.

Have a couple desert spiny lizards which keep the crickets gone so no food for those arachno-stingers
