Sorry if it’s been asked before tried to search but only have my phone at the moment and nothing came up. But curious if we have a member that we use for our audio needs. Always like to support members of the community first.

Nothing crazy. I have the non jbl system so I’d really like to add a sub and upgrade the current speakers. Would like to stay under a $1,500 budget but not limited to that.

$1500 will get you a pretty decent system if you install it yourself.

Stock is horrible makes me want to cry when I listen to music in it lol. I have. 2020 and it might be the worst sound ever. Reminds me of headphones from 1995 lol.

Haha for your budget, the OEM Audio+ System 500 w/ dedicated sub amp would fit and is a very easy install being pnp. Tacoma Dbl Cab Reference Series (2016-2023) | OEM Audio Plus

The truck is pretty easy to take apart. Shoot me a PM if you end up wanting to tag-team the install.

I was thinking about doing it myself. I’ve done it many times in my younger days but probably looking for a pro to do it. I might expand the budget if needed

It's no different than back in the day. Just need somebody to tune it correctly.

Haven't heard it personally, just heard good things about it across multiple platforms. It depends what the OP wants, but it's a good place to start. Everyone is going to have different tastes.

If he wants to wire it up himself, my go-to speakers to recommend are Kappas and a shallow mount sub you like and send it lol.

I was wondering about something like that too. But honestly I have a feeling I’d like it way more than the current one but still be disappointed and end up upgrading again. But I do love the idea of east plug and play upgrade I can easily do

Sounds Good To Me is a place my friend went for custom work in his Bmw. He was happy with the outcome. They are in Tempe.
