    From what ive gathered so far those bearings should be replaced during every oil change or sooner

    Never been happy with the GPS built into my 2017 Entune head unit so I mounted a 7" Garmin GPS to my BDRM.

    Do you know of an iPad ram mount? Trying to find one to set up a Gaia iPad mini. Or one that fits into your system.

    Great.... Anyone know if there all the same I have the dobinson front coilovers and it's squeeking screeching and metal sounds that I can't find. Maybe it's this? Can you get the bearing locally.

    its the sandy, gritty, mud puddles we drive through that kill them the fastest.

    Every second oil change :rofl: I got 20,000 kms out of mine before the reducer bushings sheared. Bearings were fine in my case, but the thin shank portion of the bushings broke off inside the bearing bore.

    So i dont have to change them if i never change the oil?
    :jpow:

    better sooner than later... according to @3JOH22A , he knows only 3 people that have shattered the bearing.

    @tacoma16
    @Norilsk
    and now myself:rofl:
    I'm not sure if i should take pride in this fact or if i should be weary telling anyone this going forward.

    Does the 17 not have a native GPS within it? Or are you using the garmin since the OEMGPS routing is junk some times?

    I reaaally like your bevel but I've never been a fan of the RAM mounts as it's too much of an ass to squish the arms with one hand and slap the phone in with the other. I use Scosche's magnets as they haven't failed holding my phone throughout North and South trails at Ardbeg. (or at any point that i can recall. maybe once or twice when i yanked on the cable)

    I ended up "cloning" (with enough changes that i copied the idea of the design and not the design 1:1)
    Stiffy mount's magnet system for the Taco.

    IMG_20230623_210349392.jpg
    Some stuff i liked, others not so much.
    Switched the fork design out to the gopro 3 prong interface as well as made a plate to mount Scosche's Flush mount as that's what i'm using throughout the truck. Added in a captured m5 nut so it's literally just throw in the gopro screw and you're good to go.

    IMG_20230624_111829453_HDR.jpg
    IMG_20230624_111840631_HDR.jpg

    Need to change out and angle or two but overall i'm happy with it.

    Reason why i "cloned" it is that one buddy gave me the Stiffy Mount, and 2nd:
    Scosche's mount would be half floating. I made a spacer that' fit but then i just kept designing in fusion 360....
    IMG_20230623_125047565_HDR.jpg

    printed in PETG

    @StiffyMounts don't send a cease and desist. i'm not selling these, at least not for direct money, maybe some "gifts" or "donations of a considerable sum, party favours, and or compensation of the $1 in plastic used, $0.25c for the threaded brass m5 fitting, and like $15 for the magnet in the form of food, booze, or cover my TEC membership cost at the end of the year

    EDIT: turns out, new design from them is here; https://www.etsy.com/listing/631496...ted-magnetic-phone?ref=shop_home_feat_2&frs=1

    I updated the maps last year and there are still missing locations. I also don't find the guidance of the OEM unit very intuitive.
    Garmin has lifetime updates and this one has a large detailed screen.
    I designed my BDRM with RAM mount balls as a starter. I think there are adapters to convert to other final mounts.
