Drain and fill is stupid easy. Flushing the system is a royal c-....I'll stop there.

Fill - on level ground, fill it until it comes out the overflow port i think. If it's not that then it's fill it until it comes up to the fill port.

If you drain and fill every 40-60 you're fine, and better off than 99% of the trucks out there who mostly just leave it untouched for 250k miles.

So I finally actually got under the truck after MA Bell (because oil change) and turns out I hit so much crap, lol. Front skid has some damn deep gouges and good dents, transmission skid had a good scratch, both LCAs were hit and scraped.

So on that note, if anyone can keep an eye out for some OEM take offs, that would be great. I think I’ll probably grab those, swap bushings and ball joints, put em on, and call it a day.

Damn John, that shit is scary when it happens. I would have gotten some pre-made line from the parts store and bent it to fit.

Same as the 2nd gen, need to get to operating temp and pull the level check plug on the pan. Easy to find the trans temp with a scan tool or scan gauge or ultra gauge.

Doing the at home "flush" is expensive in it takes about 8qts to finally get fresh stuff coming out

Wife was gone to work so I was stranded till she got home at midnight. Did order a kit of tube and misc fittings from Amazon for diy, that will be here tomorrow.

figured if I was waiting until morning and they had it at the dealer, just pay the extra few bucks. Both sides came to like $20.

new cv seal is in, new hard lines in and bled… only thing in my wheel well that came with the truck is the wheel speed sensor wire and 1 or 2 bolts.

Fair enough. Do you have a flare tool to go along with the line? That's been on my list of shit to get for awhile

Yea fuck Lia and fuck Balise (for sales and service, both of em). Gale in Enfield has been alright to deal with.

    Last I knew Lia.

Not sure if that rude ass Service writer is still there, or the POS SM.

But, regardless, I'll slam their service department until those 2 are gone.

My list of issues with them, is significant.

    They suck.
