    holy shit you guys.... i think i just hit the lego motherload.
    saw an ad on CL for some old Legos. Recognized a few pieces. Took a chance and went to look at them and I am now the proud owner of a 1989 Caribbean Clipper complete with sails and all minifigs.
    the guy has a ton of other sets that he showed me and says he's up for selling them too. took a bunch of pics and will upload soon. lots of the castle and forest sets from the late 80's and early 90's. dude has no idea what he has an i tried to not seem too excited but damn, if i would have had more cash on me i would have taken them home tonight too.

    need to go through and do a full inventory and find out which parts I'm missing. all of the major stuff is there plus i think he gave me all of the odds and ends from whatever else wasn't fully built so i have some random knights and forestmen and space guys

    he's sent me more pics since i got home. must be clearing out the closets in the house looking for everything hoping to entice me back :laugh:
