Tint looks good Kurt. We also have "Overactive Tint Checkers" around here. They even pull out a light meter to check the darkness :annoyed:. If you have a prescrition as @Travlr had you are okay.

:yay::yes: Good time racing. Working as a team pays off and communication is always the winning solution . Glad everyone survived the heat and humidity.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Everybody sleeping in around here today. Fine with me! Just need to replace the hose reel out front with a new one, and putz some stuff.

I'm almost excited about the new tint being better as I am about getting rid of all the scratches and wear on the old! I could get darker, and probably have no issues - in San Antonio or Austin - this isn't even normal dark! I'm probably running less than most the cop Explorers. But we got this one jerk constable - stealth letter, tint, the whole shebang; he's always got someone pulled over for some equipment infraction. He wrote up a friend of my wife for no front plate a couple weeks ago in her Mustang. It's a newer one, with no good place for it. Cancer survivor with minimum hair left, and looking frail as can be. No warning.... he's not in my district, so I can't vote him out.

Now, THAT'S a great day at the races! Congratulations to you both! Sounds like the set up you had was best for the heat.
That track is also very impressive - I see they keep the cars on the racing surface! Unlike "pro" tracks!

    Nothing left but Putz now!

Only slow down was getting the old hose back into the reel for the last time, and none of the bolt holes for the mount were the same. Works much better again. The center part of the old one used to be bright green!

Old one still "worked", but retracting could be a challenge, a sometimes thing.

    Afternoon all:

I like the tint also Kurt, not a fan of the really dark tint though.

Been pouring here and a flash flood alert is in effect for areas just South of us, was a good day to get the coal stove ready for winter, just need to clean the pipe and put it back on, which is the last and easiest part of the job.

Well Kurt, it started raining and then it started pouring with thunder and lightning and because I don't have a roof over the deck, I ended up cooking this in the oven :annoyed:

Still was good but barbecue is better.:D

 A mans gotta do what a mans gotta do! (Honestly, trying to do a cast iron sear inside will leave flowery fragrance in the kitchen for days!)

EDIT again....in another defense - it's 98* at 7:01 pm here. We had leftover green chicken enchiladas!

I spent the day washing and ceramic coating the taco today. Good weather for it. Started out rainy today but cleared out early. Truck looks great. Went for an evening motorcycle ride after that. Very relaxing and enjoyable ride. I really do love the Bonneville.

What ceramic did you try? I have a couple on hold, but cool and shady days are few and far between! (And I gotta fix my hood, and my budget friend appears to have folded his biz!)

Mowed everything yesterday. I would rather not mow on Sunday, but the weather refused to cooperate. It was still slightly damp at 5pm. Fact of life: grass won't be dry enough to mow until the temp's too hot. Satisfying to have it done for a while.

I'm trying the torque brand. They have several products. I chose the redline shine for the initial coat as it is long lasting. I'll use some of they're spray on applications for maintenance and cleaning. They have sales on this stuff all the time. I will say that this was the easiest ceramic I have ever used, went on really easy and wiped off just as easy. No vigorous buffing required. I bet it didn't take an hour to do the whole truck. Covered everything on my taco, including glass and plastic. It really brought the plastic back. And the shine is amazing. Time will tell how it holds up. I used there clay MIT to wash the truck and it really made a difference. You could feel it sticking to the rough surface of the paint and as you used it you could feel it smoothing out. I waited for a sale on the redline shine product as it is expensive. The everyday detailing products are reasonable though.

Kurt: What brand of hose reel did you purchase? I agree on the difficulty to roll up is a challenge at times. I hHave the same hose reel. My next hose reel will have less hose on the reel.

Good morning. Today is a day at the dentist getting a new crown. My dentist said that they do it all so the crown will be fitted and made in his office. This is supposed to be a 3 hour process. We shall see.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Well, I saved the hard job for Monday - going to replace the distribution tube in the pool filter. It still spews Zeolite (sand) media every start up, since replacing the old filter. Tried the old valve head, redid the tubes last year - got it to good enough. But, now it's every day. So, rip it apart, suck out the sand, and try the original tubes. Probably require several cans of hydration.

Thanks Greg - I will look into that.

I had an IKRIS from Amazon - lasted 5 years. That one was 75 feet, and I had to pull it almost all the way out to get to the corner of the front yard. I think that was part of the internals going wonky eventually. That, and my wife just lets it loose to rewind. The IKRIS is no longer available, so I got this one at 100 feet. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09NYBVMST?ie=UTF8

Shiiity weather here , for the last 2 weeks, rain , storm, hot ,humid, sticky, kind of weather you’ll get a headache staying out even for a short time. Last eve, was nice for couple of hours, took the chance and rode my bike to Wegmans.

:pccoffee:  sixtys/wannabes/humidities. It's been gooey around here all week. Yesterday it rained A LOT; flooding and washouts all around the area.

Hose reels: Eley. That's all I have to say. Pricey, but you will never buy another one. I finally bit the bullet after having two supposedly high quality units either crack or rust into pieces.
