Shows calls and texts. Can accept/decline calls, only displays texts. I feel like that's all I need.
Integration with TF and Strava are excellent. You can use TF to send ride plans to the watch and it will show you the route, as well as inform you of upcoming turns. Also displays a directional arrow at the top of any of the selectable screens to show you which way to go.
You also get to customize your screens far any activity. Anywhere from 1 to 8 data sections, with tons of options for each. My go-to is the HR graph with stamina graph. Helps me pace myself.
Garmin are training products first, and as such have tons of helpful tools for that purpose. One of my faves is the recovery tool, which takes all sorts of important data (like sleep, HR, HRV, stress, SpO2) and tells you how your recovery is going and if your body is ready to go for a ride.

I've been in the same boat. 3 tires in 3 months, with inserts. Last one was a 1400 g. tire too. Wondering if I'm running too low pressures due to the inserts. Ran 19 psi, and it felt so damn good.

just got a 1 up rack and dont want to leave it on my truck all the time. was thinking this would be a nicer way to store it in my garage than just putting it on stuff like im currently doing.
this one is like $25 cheaper than the official 1up one on Amazon right now.

 

I use the official version and it is super nice. you can even put in your ball mount stuff in the side for storage. it's kinda a not-so-marketed thing.

 

Yeah dude it's pretty neat. It's heavy and pedals like shit but that's part of the experience! I still ride my Chromag often. But I don't think I'll ever go back from MRP forks at least, it feels really nice. My favorite part is the variable ramp-out control, no more tokens. Shock is just okay, I can't get it how I want.

the ramp control is super interesting to me. Especially the cartridge, I've been tempted to try it out on one of my bikes to see how it it changes the feel of the bike.

 

Yeah. Also be weary of "Prime" day. It's pretty common for shamazon sellers to raise their prices a few weeks prior and then return to normalcy on "Prime" day. It's more of a marketing effort than inventory clearance with actual discounts

Oh yeah you're right, I was 0% surprised at how it pedals lol. Active suspension is great when descending though! It weighs like 41 lbs haha

Ramp Control is dope because being able to adjust on-the-fly when setting up the bike is an added convenience. I don't fiddle with it too much anymore though. One thing to note, the fork is quite loud (squishy noises) when new but has quieted down to silent now. In my experience this seems to be regular across a lot of the brands outside of the Big 2. Most importantly, their customer service is outstanding! Worth the price by itself in my opinion. Also I did cut off the obnoxious Colorado flag decal on the first day

One more note, Shimano Deore ain't like it used to be! I figured I could take a shortcut on the drivetrain with Deore but it's not nearly as bomber as the previous generation. I cannot help but think they downgraded Deore in an effort to elevate the higher trims like XT, XTR. Most notably there is no more 3x shifts with one trigger push like on the previous generations. With that being said, overall shifting issues could be due to the wide range 11 speed cassette being too big intervals

I've been currently running mucoff nano ceramic lube. It's been working okay but I've been trying to test other lubes for daily use. What do y'all use and what should I try out?
I've tried rock n roll but it seems to get gunked up really quickly require frequent cleaning.
Chain butter, great at cleaning the chain because you apply it heavy and it pushes all the gunk out and you can visibly see it cleaning as you use itmore and more but, it requires a LOT...and it attracts dirt like no other lube I've seen once applied.
I've also tried peaty's all weather premium and it's a similar story, it gets really dirty really quickly in dusty conditions. it might work on dry but not dusty. but it definitely attracts a lot of dirt.
I've applied SCC tech once but wasn't paying much attention. Maybe I should try that one?
Mind you, I'm in dry and hot and dusty conditions usually.

I've read up on the zero friction cycling testing conditions but they're a lot more road focused. But they do have valuable data points.

 

i run finish line dry because i bought a bottle or two and haven't finished them. admittedly my bike sounds like a rats nest most of the time

 

I switched to Squirt last season at a buddy's suggestion and I've been really happy with it. Best chain lube I've used since moving from Oregon. It's wax based and seems to last a while and doesn't pick up lots of moon dust.

I've been using SCC Tech for quite a few years now and that's the one I seem to have settled on. I do like that it seems to hold on longer than most other lubes.

I've also had a mind to try a moto chain lube from the likes of Motul. Figure if they can hold up to the rpm of my Triumph and all the road gunk, it might work well for bikes, and is spray on.

I'll start. I get the need for e-bike intended cassetes, etc due to power. But someone explain an E-bike oriented seat since e-bikes are totally just like regular bikes.

So from what I have heard, it is discouraged to camp in the tiki bar parking lot due to shenanigans and people starting to abuse the kindness. I know people who have set up shop there for a night or two, but they park way in the back and out of the way. Personally with what I know, I would rather go to a campground and not have to worry about getting talked to or upsetting the locals.

Lately that whole trail network is becoming very sensitive to mountain biking. A recent trail closure (in addition to the numerous trail closures a few years ago) has impeded the connectivity of the network and put a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths. Anything riders can do to respect the land owners and locals is only going to help keep those trails open (not saying camping in the tiki bar lot is going to cause trouble for the trail network, but just one piece to the whole puzzle).
