    Thanks! That’s what I told him when he said that’s all they did. I guess partially my fault for not clearly stating what I wanted. I figured by saying I wanted the icon lift and for it to be 2.5 in both the front and rear they’d get it correct…next time I know haha

    Just a few accessories, mud flaps, bed cover , racks, seat covers, ….
    This blue is my favorite color. I've got mine red only to be noticed on the road , mostly highways , Drivers don't drive like old days, that includes me. 18 wheelers used to be the best truck drivers, they've lost their judgments too.

    Not to derail this thread but I always felt like this was true…they were the best drivers out there. I know many of them still are great drivers but man I almost got run off the road by about a dozen 18 wheelers during my last road trip. On flat open highways in clear weather. It was weird.

    Anyway, end of derailment, I’m glad I’m not the only one that feels that way. Here’s a picture of my shell to get us back on track lol

    Got a freshly painted Leer 100XL for $2500 off CL. Previous owner was told by dealer that their 5” 2nd gen topper would fit their ordered ‘23. Shop sent the topper off to match the new 1G3 truck only to find it doesn’t fit. Owners had to buy another model and the dealer lost a repeat customer. And I got a topper in amazing shape (fiberglass is impeccable), sliding/drop-down front window and a fresh coat of 1G3. Only needed a new pair of glass struts.

    Now begins my research on getting a rack or platform on top, then run LED’s inside. Not using for camping as I’m 6’6” and my DCSB wouldn’t cut it. Just wanna get a way to carry my canoe and extra gear.

    Its a BedRug bed mat: https://bedrug.com/bedrug-classic-bed-mat/2021/toyota/tacoma

    Not sure if the short bed version is less $$. Note that it doesn't come with the tailgate mat, which I didn't need since I have the Snail Armor panel.

    Looks good. Did it taking much prep or priming? Or did you just spray over the red?

    Thanks. For prep the shell was set it on a stand I made. Taped off the seals and sanded everything to where I couldn't see anymore metallic from the red. But it was still a red... Cleaned with pressure washer then mineral spirits. No primer and and I used an entire case (6 cans). I set the cans in a bucket of warm water before use and wiped the tip off literally every 3-4 seconds to avoid ANY splatters... and used this to safe an hour of impossible proper shaking;

    of course I picked up a job and my time frame got cut short to finish so I had to spray into the evening and the wind picked up slightly which affected the sheen in some spots. Overall im stoked on it. Its the same paint as the trd pro skid plate and my Shmellfab rock sliders (@Shmellmopwho ) I may cover the truck and do another coat to try to make it solid sheen when theres no wind lol.

    I use that on my bumpers and sliders.

    Unfortunately, over time, it fades a little. :(

    I drilled some 2x4's vertically under the frame rails for paint/dry process... overall the sanding part was the most tedious since i had experience rattle canning... if you have a garage id definitely recommend making a paint booth to avoid any spotting from wind... i'd do it again, def worth saving $500-$1500 and having a shop do it. This bed coating was the only one I would use also...

    Looks great. I purchased some replacement badges for the leer logo for mine, just haven’t swapped them out. I went with the retro Toyota colors though.

    Yeah, so far after a year on my rock sliders they aren't to bad. I spray em with wax detailer and ceramic detailer alot which helps. It's cool to have the touch up option! lol I plan to wax the shit outta this thing with protectant
