I,ve been using Meguiar's Vinyl rubber conditioner on my tri-fold bed top and other exterior plastic pieces as it had great reviews. It looks real good for a week or so, but then it starts to get that dried out fade look on the bed top. Is it doing anything that I'm not aware of or just not lasting?
Is there any other products that will actually penetrate and stay longer?

Seconded. That's what I use, seems to hold up decent.

I use Honda aerosol spray cleaner/protectant/polish # 08732-SCP00. Works on all plastics and trim. Also works on wheels. Very good all around use product.

Chemical Guys VRP brought back my UV faded plastics back to life.
After the second application, all my trim plastics, bumper, grill have been keeping that "new" look for a long time.
    Highly recommend.

I just used this on my wife's 2017 RAV4 and the trim looks like the day I bought it. It was a faded grey & now is back to a dark black. I did all the side, front & rear trim, wiper cowl area, rear wiper arm & black around windows & roof rack. Used 7 wipes to get it all done.

I plan on treating my new Tacoma to prevent UV fading.

In my experience, 303 washes off in the rain and leaves streaks. Really wanted it to work for the exterior but it still does great in the cab.
    +1 for cerakote.
Any recommendations for a roll up tonneau? I’m hesitant to try the cerakote on it just because I think it may crack or peel when the cover gets rolled. Saw chemical guys vrp on the shelf recently so I may try that. Tired of ordering and waiting for truck chemicals.

I noticed the streaks too with the 303, I did my softopper with it once, it rained the next day and the bed sides were coated with a oily residue. If you apply it, let sit for ten minutes then wipe it down with a dry rag it really helps with the streaking

Oh man, that’s a solid tip! I’ll definitely try that since I’ve already got the bottle and we are supposed to be dry for a little

G4 or cerakote on exterior hard plastics

    Klasse on all interior rubber/plastics

    Gave the 303 stuff away.

My experience is based on FL sun and rain, one convertible and 3 tonneau covers.
