    Got a budget in mind?

You’re better off running off 12V (direct to battery or cigarette lighter) though. Most vehicle air compressors are 12V and you’d loose a lot of efficiency converting from 12V DC - to 120 V AC - back to 12V DC.

Viair makes some really decent stuff for the price point. You can get a sorta basic one for under $100 or a better one for $250 or so. Better means better duty cycle (runs longer without having to wait for it too cool down), faster inflation and some extra features or accessories included.

    Budget friendly: VIAIR 85P https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0036E9VB6

Better, with some good accessories: VIAIR 400P
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000X9B32M

I’ve run the ARB single and dual and they’re great, but they’re not always portable like you want (though they do come as portable kits) and a bit more $$.

You’ll probably have better luck looking for a 12V air compressor and using an extension cord like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08MZH8446

I don’t mind spending 300 to 400 if it pumps fast and if doesn’t over heat pumping four tires consecutively. Also if it will have some longevity is important. As far as size as long it can fit on the floor behind the rear seat I’d be very happy with that set up.
Edit : I guess I could put it in the bed of the truck also it would be good if it’s light enough to move around.

The VIAIR stuff is good for sure, but if it was my money to spend, I’d maybe go this route:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004P9A35E

    And…

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073RS57L5

ARB has a good history of being potentially a little more durable, has great customer service and has more out there being used…so some good parts if needed and good accessories. Just one man’s experience/opinion.

I love my Viair 450P. It’s quiet, fast and 100% duty cycle.

Thanks great advice also. Does that only clip on to the battery ? Or does it have a plug you can use on the outlet on the bed of the truck. Not a priority but just curious?

Looks like a very nice setup thanks !
When using the pump is it better to keep the truck running or is the current draw low enough not to. ?

Nice. I’ve been thinking of adding an Izula II to the collection. I've been reducing my stock lately. Only keeping what I use/absolute favorite on a regular basis. The PR4 might go. I like it a lot but the JG5 is my go to. Lol.

Definitely not, those short leaf springs suck off road, make it nothing but a pogo stick!

I swapped it with the leaf spring (modified with less leafs) and shock setup from a Jeep CJ-7 rear axle…makes it ride really well.

Picture shows the short factory springs and the Jeep springs both in place for comparison:

Doing a little bit at a time.
I agree they all suck in the Raleigh area. Even Leith sucks...I bought my truck there and would never go back! I have been going to the dealership in Apex.

I believe that kit is only for hooking directly to the battery.

Unfortunately, the idea of running the compressor off the 120V AC outlet in the bed is an unlikely expectation (unless you want a custom setup).

All of these compressors are meant for vehicles and most vehicles don’t have standard wall outlets in them, so they aren’t setup to run off that…just 12V DC from the vehicle (Aka directly to the car battery or to a cigarette lighter plug).

I highly recommend this Smittybuilt compressor. It doesn't plug into the acc port but hooks up to the battery under the hood. It pumps up my 265x75x16 Wildpeaks from 18psi to 35 psi in 1.5 minutes. Best of all it doesn't brake the bank. 5.65 cfm is better than most of those overpriced ones.

I’ve used it both with the engine running and not. Usually if I’m just topping off the tire pressure I don’t bother turning the truck on. If I’m airing up I usually have it on. I do one tire at a time at the moment as I haven’t put the manifold together yet.
