Of course he wouldn’t! This is the same guy that would steal candy bars from the unattended snack station at the naval base we are talking about

Not a build continues. A benefit of being on Tacomaworld all the time and reading random threads is I gain knowledge that may come in handy one day. Enter this thread.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/how-to-lower-your-trans-temps.736156/

Since the 4Runner has essentially the same powertrain, it has the same hard lines coming off of the transmission. Insulated them this evening, I’m curious to see if it helps keep trans temps cooler.

Agreed. On the tundra, the soft lines that are right there are heavily insulated. Figured it certainly won’t hurt anything for $10.

I'm with you there. I want it to fit and look factory and not look like a 2021 corolla HU that sticks out of the dash like 3"

    Questions Op:

    1) how much do you pay to have your lawn mowed?

    2) when is the upcoming hoa meeting?

    Thank you in advance

That’s the one perk of az is no grass to mow but it’s been substituted with scorpions I have to kill. Not sure which is better.

Are those shop lights anything fancy in particular? I need some for my garage, so trying to gather some intel of what is worth spending on. I'm tempted to go for some Amazon cheapies. $60 for 10 lights with a decent amount of legitimate reviews including w/ real pictures seems like what I'm leaning towards

They’re just Amazon cheapies. They feel cheap and fragile but it doesn’t really matter once mounted. My chief complaint is that they interfere with my garage door remotes in the worst way. If the lights are on, I can’t use the remote in the car to open and close the garage. I have them on a separate light switch and as a secondary light for this reason alone. For the price though, I’m not complaining.

Edit: I’m not sure what color my lights are but I would go with 5000K over 6000K personally. The 5000K will look a lot more natural.

Interesting about the garage door, I wonder if there's a way to change the frequency of the door remote? I gotta wait a bit before I start spending a lot, but I'll let you know what I decide on and if have issues with mine.

Yeah I saw in reviews they were fragile feeling but like you said, when they get mounted to the ceiling that becomes a non issue

Good tip on the color temp, I have no intuition about that lol.

I’m not sure, but I don’t think so. It’s a minor hassle but not the end of the world. I put them on these switch and it works really well.

At my last house I used one of those “lightbulb to socket” adapters and it worked fine, but it wasn’t going to work at this place. I mounted a power strip on the ceiling off of the garage door outlet and used the above switch.

Well no wonder your door opener doesn't work when the lights are on!
