"Fatter" steering wheel for 3rd Gen

The only thing...personal comfort wise, that I would change on my truck is the thickness of the steering wheel itself. Most of the competition is going to a thicker, padded wheel with a little better grip.

Is there a retrofitable wheel from another Gen or trim level that would fit...or would you recommend an aftermarket wheel?

Low cost option to let you see what works well for you. You might even like it enough to keep. Other colors available I think.

 

redline does offer an option for extra padding, that gives you a thicker steering wheel

I have that exact one and love it. Comfortable and stays in place. Easy to install.

 

I put a "Wheelskins cover" on a 2nd gen Sr5 years ago. You have to secure it with provided leather lacing but I found it worth the effort. Full top grade leather in various styles and color combinations. Makes wheel look like a factory leather wheel and adds a lot of thickness and grip. I'm not affiliated with them.
