Ouch...Hopefully they can fix the issues. Now that Trijicon release their enclosed optic with the RMR pattern I will be trying that out.

I'll wait until the price comes down. They sure are proud of their stuff. Also the closed emitter looks like it has a strange mounting system.

Mostly stock, just happy to have a truck.
Traded a Kimber 1911 and some spare mags for a nib Glock 17 Gen 5 and a lnib Gen 3 19 with a $200 True Precision threaded gold barrel and boot.

now to find the 19 a new home.

Not too fancy, or expensive, but so far this looks like a nice functional and simple OWB holster for pretty much any pistol with/without a light except for the really big stuff (Desert Eagle, maybe some larger 1911s). Overall I've liked the quality and utility of other viperade gear I've been using for a while (leather and nylon depending on application).

Haven't tried wearing it yet, but I did fit-check it on a 45ACP XD "Tactical" (5 inch barrel) with a laser on the rail, and it covers the trigger area well. Since it's soft leather and "universal" fit, it's open at the bottom end so it won't cover the muzzle, and there's probably a chance of catching a tall front sight depending on how you rotate while drawing, but for under $20 it's hard to expect all things for all pistols. I don't know a ton about leather work so I don't know if it'd be possible to do something to cause this to harden around a simulator of a particular shape and make it a custom-fit after purchasing.

Another thing I didn't buy recently but have enough experience with it to appreciate it now. Great range bag if you like to take 3-4 pistols on one visit, and less bulky than the "ammo box" based Plano bag I'd been using for a while; the Plano bag was fine, but really only designed for taking 1-2 guns on a trip, and it was lacking any molle or velcro on the "back" side where the ability to attach some extra pouches would have really made a difference.

This one hasn't got a ton of webbing, but has enough to store eyes & ears outside the main compartment (no digging needed before heading in to the lanes), and also has a small side pouch that's great for a compact cleaning kit and some basic tools as well as lots of magazine loops inside other pockets, and most of the compartments have lockable zippers (luggage locks, but generally enough for local laws). The small aux pouch that comes with it is meh, but on the space where it attached I was able to mount a small IFAK and a tourniquet (better to have and not need....)

Upgraded the optic on my P320 carry. Now have a Holosun SCS 320.... The ambient light sensor is very much improved over previous models. Low profile. I could put standard height sights on it for lower 1/3 co witness.

Also got to see Max Michel who was at the gun shop I bought it from. It was a local event for Blake Miguez who’s a competition shooter running for senate here.
Pretty awesome experience. I was too shy to ask for an autograph on a mag

That is a great bag, I bought a gray one it matches the color of the seats in my truck. Makes it harder to see through the tint.

I never bought a Sig, I have buddies that have just as many Sig’s as they do Glock’s and I don’t have that kind of budget :annoyed:

Both of my trucks have grey interiors as well (2010 Tacoma, 2008 T4R, both also MGM paint by coincidence), but through tinted windows, the coyote tan doesn't look like much anyway; in the back of my T4R (trail rig) it's just one more canvas bag in next to the tools and recovery gear, unless the "Group Therapy" morale patch happens to be showing.

it aint that much more expensive in my eyes. i was looking at S&W shield before, but i liked the size and feel of the sig in my hand....and pants

    edit to add:

i was originally going to get a glock, but after holding them side by side i felt the sig fit me better. the glock was considerably heavier, which i know is better for shooting, but on the belt i didnt like it. this being my first pistol i didnt want to get something just because its a little cheaper
