    2019 Tacoma TRD Off Road
I've tried the "search" here and spent hours reading through tons of posts, but I'm still unclear. I want to run the tallest tire without ANY modification to my truck. I have a 2019 Tacoma TRD Off Road now and a 2023 TRD Off Road on the way. I've been running 265/70R16C Duratracs and have been pleased. I plan on using these tires most of the time. I have another set of TRD Off Road stock rims I want to put taller mud tires on for hunting season. I have a set of Geolander MT's on my Ram 2500 and have been very pleased with them. So... will the 255's or 235's fit without scrubbing and with no modifcations to the truck?

You may get 100 different answers and still be shaking your head in this thread. Some will say it will fit, and some will not.

At least with stock offset rims, you stand a better chance.

    Good luck.

Stay with stock rims and you will be fine, might have to remove front mudflaps.

Negative offset is the enemy when trying to fit larger/wider tires.

This is 235/80r17 Geolander MTs on 4Runner take off wheels, fit fine since they are skinny 32” tires.

255/80r17 on 4Runner take off wheels and they fit without rubbing. Stock Toyota wheels are key for fitting skinny 33s without rubbing since they clear the control arms but don’t stick out too far

I too ran 4runner wheels which were 15mm offset. I think the stock rims you're using is 25. Anyway I did 235s no problem at all.
