Not drought-like, just a little less rain than normal, plus temps have not been too hot. Thanks form the recommendation of that fungicide, will pick some up.

Garden winding down fast now. Still a few small tomatoes, still a bit of okra but it's fading and still some peppers. Got about three plastic grocery bags of figs so far. Sat out there a little while yesterday eve figuring to pick off a few doves since the row of sunflowers dropping has some coming in. No doves but saw something interesting. Noticed hummingbirds working the few tomato blooms left. Then saw a couple flying into the fig bush and working around. No blooms in there but surmised they are working on the overripe figs. Makes sense, see a plethora of bees on them as well as butterflies. I'd imagine they get a pretty good boost off that juice. Hope yall have a good fall, time to harvest some deer now.

Yes, we blanch all of it on the cobb then freeze it whole or cut. May be that it keeps longer blanched? For the cobbs, If you will add a teaspoon of sugar to the water when you boil after freezing it will bring it back to darn near fresh.

Good year for tomatoes till the rains came in august loosing many after they took on too much water. This has summer has produced some of the hottest peppers I've ever grown. I've got bright red jalapeño peppers that are like swallowing the sun. Picked some ears of corn over the last couple weeks that were great even after all the rain.

I used to blanch whole cobs & put ‘em in clean milk cartons I used to get from the dairy. Since they switched to plastic I’m screwed :pout:

I was able to root several of the PrimeCane's canes this year, finally. Will try planting them this fall. Just need to build another trellis.
