I bought some headlights for my truck (used) this is the brand
AKKON - [Full LED] For 2016-2023 Toyota Tacoma SR/SR5 LED Sequential Retrofit Projector Black Headlights Assemblies. But it's missing a part. I’m a girl so I don’t know much about vehicle parts and stuff. So I found this forum through YouTube and thought i’d give it a shot and see if someone can help me out, figuring out what the name of the part is that I need. And where can I get the parts needed? I insert a picture here for reference. Please let me know if you can help me. Thank you I appreciate it. My truck is a 2016 Toyota Tacoma. IMG_2602.png IMG_2603.png

Screenshot_20230911_225431_Chrome.jpg Maybe that wire harness was extra, meaning you needed to order it. Not just the head lights. There are 3 things I don't mess with on these 3rd gens. Headlights, tail light and any manufacturer wiring. Seen it go wrong too many times.

And you ordered these from a shady Hispanic web site

I didn’t buy it online, that’s the screenshot my partner sent me of the type of lights they are. It’s the same ones as the one on the screenshot. So no, I didn’t buy it off of a Hispanic website. But thanks for your input.

Ok, my point still stands. Call or email whoever ever you purchased them from and ask about the missing parts.:hattip:

No, because I bought them used from a family friend. But he doesn’t know where he left the cables or harness that’s circled in the picture. He just gave me the box they came in when he originally bought the lights. He upgraded his a while back so I bought his old ones. But he doesn’t remember what he did with those specific parts.

From the picture, I can se one side is a 3 pin female AMP superseal, and the other side is 4 pin. What I can’t tell unfortunately is what goes on in between to go from 4 to 3. Let me do some googling and see if I can find some instructions or something that might indicate what that wire does.

I am not trying to be a jerk:hattip:
First post... limited information, 3rd post reality.
Hopefully @Puppypunter can help you, but it's a gamble cutting and splice manufacturers wiring on these things.;)

Thank you Jhonny. I appreciate the help.

Tcjacado that’s probably what I’m going to have to do if I can’t find them online. On the manufacturer’s website I don’t see an option to just buy the missing part.

Which means you'll probably have to call, which will be a pain in the ass.

Yeah, the manufacturers website doesn’t have instructions or anything. Amazons listing for them even says “no instructions included”, so I am not very hopeful. They do have a contact page, so I’d start there. They might be able to get you a replacement? Sorry I’m not much more help.

@Puppypunter no need to apologize, you did help me out at least with getting a contact for the manufacturer and that’s a big help. Thank you any information is greatly appreciated.

Anytime. If you get more info, come back here and tag me, I can at least look at it. If I knew what it was, I am sure I could build it.

If I didn't bump your thread to the top of the main wall. @Puppypunter would probably never have seen it.;)

Wasn't looking for that, just an understanding. I wasn't being a jerk, just bumping your thread to the top for better exposure so you can get an answer quickly. I could have done the same, just had few to many. Been here a long time and come to help/share my experiences and have fun. Sometimes it's misinterpreted. :hattip: hope you get it worked out.

Update on this. I reached out to Akkron and they said they don't sell replacement parts, and they are not the manufacturer (bummer) that they are a large shipping warehouse. So not sure where to go on from here. Any suggestions? @tcjacado @Puppypunter
