Well gonna pay for it . I got the B7100 out and hooked up the scrap blade to it and dragged it up and down the shared main road to our house. Now having a yuengling a tylenol, ice pack on back. I even took multi breaks, still gonna pay for it. Gotta try because you'll never know if you over did it or not.:burp:

    Dunno.

Owned it for 10 years. Test runs for 12 minutes/ week.

I can only remember it running during a power outage for roughly 3 hours.

I'm at a loss. This is 1 st and only catastrophic engine failure I've ever experienced on my own stuff.

    Oil changes every year.

I'll tell you one thing, I'm not gonna be wasting money on Mobile 1 from now on.

Same thing happened to my 220v mobile compressor. Properly maintained, serviced & operated yet packed it in waaay too early for no apparent reason. Just my luck I guess. :pout:

i understand. for fuel conservation i cut and stack according to top feed or chip knife. chip raking is my right foot. note to all- i dont use much safety equipment but eyes, ears, and hands really need it. ive been hit in the face drawing blood front shrapnel. please be careful. it spat out a leather glove to scraps too.

I have never had anything come out of the feed end of the chipper, it is probably 18" from the top of the chute to the cutter and there are heavy rubber strips at the top as well.

This 1973 flail shredder on the other hand...
This will chuck stuff back at you with a completely clear conscience. That half cover over the feed hopper is hinged, it will throw things hard enough to flip it open.

Can anyone recommend a dual fuel generator for occasional use? I’d prefer something that runs on propane. Would be running a refrigerator and a freezer.

Hi yall, I have a 2002 Dixon ZT with a Kohler CV18 that I've owned for 3 months without issue, last week after about an hour it started backfiring and died after about a minute. It starts ok with choke but starts surging and dies after one to two minutes. The only carb engines I am use to are single cylinder mowers and single/dual cylinder motorcycled/scooters, I have not had to deal with engines with governors before. I have cleaned the carb(not that it needed it), I replaced the spark plugs(cause why not), Compression is 120psi for each cylinder. Gas is fresh but it seems like the pump is a little slow(no experience for normal flow though) I am gonna hook up a gravity fed gas bottle to test that today.
Please feel free to give me suggestions on what to look for, I am gonna start researching solutions this weekend. I have a mp4 video of it surging but need to convert it first.

I don't know about running on propane but I've been super impressed with the Honda EU series generators. Clean power, super quiet. Before we got our whole house unit I was thinking about selling our gas generator and getting one.

What's the total wattage you want to be able to run, and what's the budget?
I personally have a 9.5K Westinghouse Genset, but that might be more money than you want to spend. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HYWDS7D Currently $900, but it'll run the whole house.
Champion had a decent dual fuel line of Genset. They've got models from 2K to 9K
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08L9SWS3D

If you can wait you'll likely find much better deals on black friday.

If it runs fine with the gravity tank try blowing the line back to the tank with compressed air.

I had one that the rubber line looked fine on the outside but had a section 10" long where it had collapsed internally, 100 psi of air pressure wouldn't go through. Ethanol fuel breaks down the older hose.
