    So i know ive seen some other rear recovery posts already. But doesnt seem any of them cover this product here. It sort of looks like the new tacomas rear hooks that come stock. Just wondering if anyone has these or have seen them in the wild. They look somewhat cool and im intrigued. Just wondering the level of functionality to look

    get a receiver hitch. it attaches to the frame and is designed to hold heavy loads. perfect recovery point and you could use it tow a trailer.

    Those things look like “damage enhancers” to me.

    There are so many posts on here discussing how a minor rear end collision caused a bent frame due to the tow hitch acting like a fulcrum.

    I’d be very hesitant in running anything that bolted to the hitch bracket and extended beyond the bumper for this reason.

    I’d rather sacrifice the bumper in a minor bump than tweak the frame.

    Not saying the OP fits this category, but is amazing how many around here feel their truck is bulletproof with their new bighonkin steel bumper that weighs 999#, yet is bolted to a nearly flimsy ass frame that is purposefully designed to crumple, to protect occupants.
