Take it to a good ( key-word=good ) independent shop that works on Toyota only.
I found one for mine and another for the wife's Subaru.

Typically better than the dealer and much cheaper.

    Otherwise you're looking ( guessing here ) at $500 ~ $900 ...

Do let us know how it turned out.

Send your wife a screenshot of the owner’s manual.
Chances are; they’ll quote at least 4-6 nonsensical booshit to the tune of 4 figures.

At the rate their service prices keep going up won't be long when you can't get out of there for under $1000. Just curious... for the rear, front differentials and transfer case gear oil how many quarts di they charge you for? I had mine done at the dealership years ago and they charged me for 11 quarts when it only takes around 7. Asked the service supervisor about it and his reply... well, sometimes they take more. Haven't been back since.

What did they do, aside from an oil change and tire rotation that required parts? Just curious.

The techs I know say they performed a wallet flush. That’s a jab at their service writers BTW.

Other than the normal engine oil & filter and tire rotation, changing the fluid in the diffs is the only additional thing for a 30K service. 6 qts of gear oil is about $50-100 depending on brand and it takes about an hour to do both diffs. So even if they charged you $100 for the oil + $300 labor for about 2 hours (that’s how long everything should take in a 30K service - and that’s on the high end at $150/hr)… At $850, they got you for more than double what a semi-reasonable dealer would charge. Don’t go back there.
