    Just gettin’ started
Love it so far! Best part is CRS Tuning / OTT will re-tune milder or wilder for free. So if I want to drop it back to light/medium or move up to medium/spicy it’s included from what I understand.

Rack on a rack. I finally got to use my roof rack for what I imagined I’d use it for when I impulse bought it at 3am one night haha. Road-trip to AZ for archery elk, then bear hunting in New Mexico (unsuccessful) then back to Oklahoma.

I’ve been running this ‘18 OR for 5 years and just hit 102k miles. I love this rig, but I’m leaning towards in the future getting an F-250 and hauling a can-am defender or some side by side with a cab and AC. I stress myself with the amount of wear I put on my truck driving roads in AZ, NM, ID and UT. Plus, I can only go so far on these tiny trails before I’ve got to turn around, only to watch these side by sides get in deeper than me.

I can’t afford it yet, but it’s just something I’m dreaming about.

What is the light bar you are running up top ? More pics of your rig ? Love the look of no rack on top. Beautiful truck.

From the various tunes available, are some better than others?
    Any dislikes about them?
I personally don’t like the price, but could get over it. And I need to get it right the first time, closest one is 3-4 hours away on any of them. So I doubt I would go back unless it’s a total wash. Too bad they don’t attend any large car or truck shows? That would be awesome.

What’s your mix? I have a broad variety of wax’s, sprays, polishes, and “Insulator” waxes. I typically soak my insulate wax bottle in a hot sink before application, but really like the thought of my own concoction as some are better than others, and would like to use them.

You could try to coordinate with other local Taco owners to get a tune which might be enough enticement to get a tuner to come to you.

^This. My experience as well and best money I've spent to date. Was going to take my Tacoma back and buy another Tundra until I had the OTT tune. You'll wish you'd done it sooner. More here:

Probably not. Although they're not meant to be checked/filled any longer, there are still vents under those caps so that the battery can off-gas as needed. Happens when they get warm during the summer. If you've been through a few heatwaves, that's not unusual.

If you're concerned you can get a full-load test done at most any of the national auto parts stores for free.

A little water and baking soda will clean it right up. Use nitrile gloves if you like and wipe it down with paper towels or rags that you don't want to keep.

Ok took the Taco for a first drive today after The K&N CAI install. Very impressed definitely noticed a difference on idle much smoother Also on and off throttle transitions smoother .
I can feel a difference in added power from The seat dyno lol with the force it pushes me back in the seat. Holys### does it sound good to !!! It’s very loud at full throttle but I love it !!
Also I popped the hood when I got home to make sure everything was snug and good to go still and it was of course. But what impressed me was how hot the engine compartment was but when I stuck my hand in the top of the air box it was like night and day temperature difference it felt cool in comparison even the filter. I’m glad I went with the plastic composite intake pipe vs metal it was cooler to . I liked the looks of the metal one but I was afraid of it being like a heat sink retaining heat.
Anyway very happy with the results and I think it compliments the OTT nicely. I wish I would have went with the blacked out version I didn’t even realize they had one with a black filter and and all hardware including hose clamps. But other then that I’m a happy camper :bananadance:

Thanks for the heads up. Mine’s (RCI skid) going on when I do my Fall maintenance.
Same thing happened to the ‘security’ hardware I got with my Talons Garage cat protector. Total garbage.
Edit: maybe that was Talons intention. Hardware becomes so locked up nobody can get it off.

Same thing on the colenite insulator wax. It needs to be heated up and mixed prior to use.
I don't really have a mix. I just add some blacklight, ceramic spray, distilled water and colenite until I have a semi-thick waxy spritz when I squeeze the trigger.

It would honestly be totally fine with just colenite and distilled water.....I'm using the remainder of the blacklight I purchased for my black truck.. I won't be buying that or the ceramic spray again. I'll just stick with the colenite from here on out.

I don't want to hassle with gimmicks that claim to make taking care of black paint easier.

If I would’ve known I would’ve put some anti seize on the bolts. In all fairness I live at the coast and the salt air is very unforgiving.

Finished with the winch install today. I was hoping to be install my 30” Rigid light bar too but couldn’t get it to fit. My SSO bumper won’t work with the Rigid brackets. Anyone know what brackets I need to get to make it works?

The doesn't have any features that tie it to the main frame rails. I ordered the C4 Fab frame brackets and got them after 3 weeks. The All-Pro bumper structure is closer to the frame studs, so I had to trim about 3/16" from the C4 bracket flange to clear the bumper welds:

The brackets test-fitted well after modification. I don't have front shock remote resis, one fewer complication:

Rattlecanned with Tremclad primer and semi-gloss paint:

Installed with longer 1/2"-13x4" stainless bolts and nyloc nuts:
