Last fall I installed the OME 3” lift and got the SPC UCAs thinking I’d be set when I go for larger tires. Well it took some nudging and leaning on my alignment guy to get that set up fairly decent but I’m now getting chop on the inside edge. Just took it back to him to tweak as well as add a bit more caster 2.8+ left and 3+ right. Just ordered a set of 255/85/16s (running stock rims) which are .4” skinnier than the stock 265/70s. When I looked at the truck it looks like the new tires will rub my uppers pretty hard all the time with my ball joint set to D. I’ve had 3 alignments done since 15k mikes and I’m only at 23k with mild logging rd off-road use and fairly seldom at that. I’m almost thinking I’d have been better off leaving stock UCAs on as I’m not sure I’d be fighting the alignment issues as much. Here in rural maine there’s really no off-road shops so you kinda got to cross your fingers and hope the guy doing the work is willing to take the time to figure these out. I guess I could do wheel spacers but I was under the impression I wouldn’t have to with these. Anyone have any helpful tips/tricks/thoughts?

I thought I was in the “suspension” forum. I’ve already done the lift I guess I was looking for tips on adjusting UCAs (which I though was part of the suspension) so the larger tires would fit. I’ll keep looking for the correct forum to post in. Thanks for the response.

You shouldn't need any suspension modifications or wheel spacers to fit 255/85/16 on stock wheels.

Do you have a specific question about the SPC UCA? I have those too.

One thing I can mention is that, if you are at stock height, you shouldn’t need any extra caster so you should put the UCA in the neutral position (zero added caster).

If you have questions about alignment, post your latest alignment sheet.

Here is some info on UCAs.
