Transmission washer help

I have 2nd gen, 2006 Pre-runner double cab 4X2 V6, which needs the fluids changed.
But before I get started doing the transmission ATF change, do I need the drain and fill crush washers, before do the temp check? Or can I do temp check without them?

I have a feeling that my Toco is low on ATF.
And if so where can I get the drain and fill crush washers and other washers which will be needed . . . and part numbers would be nice to have also?

My research has lead to this, from what I could tell is:

$11 35178-30010

35178-30010 crush gaskets/washers for dropping the transmission pan (which have ordered and received). Which is used to change the filter and fluid—would be my guess. I ordered wrong crush washers to my limited knowledge.
#90301-15004 crush gaskets/washers for drain and fill plug (which I didn’t order).

Now, (2) different Toyota Dealership (T. D.) told me different part numbers.
1st T. D. - part #90430
2nd T. D. - part #35178-30010 crush gaskets/ washers for the transmission pan (which have ordered and received ten (10)
I’m a little confused now.

After looking up myself at a parts place online:

90301-09012 = the black “O” ring used to check the ATF level when the Temp check is done. Now, do I need a new one to proceed to do this temp check?
Or can I do it without?

35178-30010 = crush washers for the drain/fill plugs. (Which I have.)
Can someone tell me if I’m correct?

Can anyone help me in my research before I start with the temp check?

Also, the differential fluid change needs to be done. I have the fluid and crush washers for that already.

 

Ideally, you want new crush washers.
Do I always use new ones? No.

It’s kind of a pain to change the washer on the check plug in the middle of the procedure.
If anything, go “easy” on tightening it at first. Then tighten it up good and snug after you do the check.
You have to remove the check plug at least once AFTER replacing the fluid.

 

Usually no need to replace crush washers unless they are completely flattened out or damaged.

Note the specified check temperature was changed from 115-130F to 97-115F per T-SB-0129-08.
