I was actually going back and forth on the 390 and CRF the day I went to buy(had one there). I just wasn't familiar with KTM's, so I went with what I knew. I've been looking at the KTM for a bit. The tubeless spoked wheels, adjustable WP susp, and other stuff is nice. I just worry about the cost of maintenance and parts. I'm at least gonna see what they say

Rite rite. I was looking too when I couldn’t find a green Kawi. That said, I heard the service intervals are better, but still didn’t wanna deal with it. Hell, I’m all over the place now. Haha

 

Yeah. It's 4700 mile intervals with valve checks every 2nd one. My Rally is 8K with valves every 2nd one. I change my oil every 5K anyway....so really a wash until valve checks get involved since I'll do those every 15K.

 

They also have a 301 kit for the Rally. That with a better flowing head, cams, stage 3 ECU(will be free since I already have Stage 1). They're getting a reliable 35HP(CRF450 only has 40)

Come on. We can get @Hafaday to come down. Camp at Jack Rivers ride the Big Frog Loop on Sat and then leave on Sunday. Depending on how fast you want to go, it may take a bit to do the whole 70 miles I'd say snail's pace would be averaging 10mph
