I had a RIPP coilpack go bad a couple months ago. This was on CYL #5

This morning, my truck popped a P0304 CEL. Engine was misfiring and stumbling.

Swapped out RIPP coilpacks in CYL1-4 and reinstall with new NGK #2309 and the stock Denso packs. CYL #5 was done previously...and Autozone only had 4x new sparkplugs.

Still need to do CYL #6. F*ck these RIPP coilpacks. They're junk.

 

Sucks getting stung by a shit product, especially if there's lots of work involved fixing it.

I really like this hood.. been looking at it and the RK sport hood. They look similar, RK does not have the heat vents.. noticed you dont have hood pins.

How do you like it? Any issues?

RKsport is almost double the price.

The Amerihood is working out nice. I can't vouch for the ram air effect but I like the looks of it. I don't use hood pins and the latch is stout. My wiper nozzles are mis-aimed because of the increased height though.

For the price point and the fact that I needed to purchase a hood for the face-lift project... I'm glad that I went this route and saved some $ vs RK Sport.

The 1st set of headlights were H1 bhlm hid retrofits executed by a forum member. My truck was also on (33s) with a 2.5-"ish lift.




This is my truck with those YitaMotor LED headlights but on skinny 35s and like a 4.5" lift up front. (circa 2020-ish)

 

what was the issue with the other LED headlights?

 

Gen2 to Gen2.5 conversion required the upgrade to Morimoto XB Hybrids.

Took stewardship of what I believe is the final prototype of what started the JFR performance ypipe.

I believe this was made by @Roostfactor and @loginfailed. It was then used by @JustDSM.

This ypipe is a piece of bespoke automotive unobtanium. It's never leaving my truck......until every 2 years for smog.

Def, very nice score. When these were first solid by login I hesitated and they went to CA. Very cool to see @SUMOTNK end upw ith them. I lucked out on a set too but ended up being one of the rare N/A versions so the will need some mods to work with my setup.
