Anyone know the part number for the color matched grille surround piece? (See arrow in attached pic for the part in reference)

    Quicksand 3rd gen

Tagged a deer last week so mine (along with all the plastic shit holding the grille on) is busted.

    TIA

There's four different grille assemblies for Tacos based off the trim package and they're all pre-painted and the part numbers have 2 digit color codes at the end. I'd recommend calling any dealer's parts dept. with the VIN and they'll pull the exact part #.

Unless you're wanting to just go aftermarket or Opt OEM, then I'd say find that OEM part number and hit up eBay.

Poor guy has developed megaesophagus, so he has regurgitation issues. Basically, a part of his esophagus is over-dilated right before his stomach so food/water/saliva sometimes linger and don't make it into the stomach. We're having to adjust eating patterns (less amounts at a time but throughout the day). He's loving the idea cause it's "holy shit! second breakfast?!@". Plus I've gotten him to stand up and get vertical while i'm petting him so the food he just ate can hopefully settle into the stomach. And because of some of the regurgitation, I think some of the acidity is getting coughed up and inflaming his lungs cause he's wheezing and tiring out quick. Getting a vet appt set up to see if there's some anti-inflammatory that may help. Otherwise, he's being a typical 'houla and being stubborn as a mule. He'll run until he's about to fall over, rest for 10 seconds and say "i gotta go back in there!"

Appreciate that. It has been kicking my ass lol. I finished it up last week. I put in 220 locust posts about 4’ in the ground. It’s a stout fence that will easily last 70-80 years. Hell the posts will about last forever, that wood is tough as nails.

I got 3 small pitties now and Huck is trying to keep it together. It’s funny watching those three run a muck and my boy just watches them like they are idiots :)

Appreciate it! He's about 11 years old but drives himself like he's 2-3. We'll be on walks where his breathing gets a bit wheezy and I have to force him to stop and take a 5-10 break. He CANNOT stay in one place outdoors for more than 10 minutes (he's always had a certain level of anxiety of sitting still). I love his toughness and grit, but it can be a real challenge to slow him when I need to.

    I think this maybe what you’re referring to;
    53101-04100-G1

    https://parts.griecotoyota.com/oem-...mew-fE2dbmUx9KRh4RcPT-vrLUsx6vaxoChx8QAvD_BwE

Found that one after more digging. Not super thrilled about the price. That and it appears it’s the full grill assembly setup. Not a horrid thing. I was just hoping I could purchase the color matched surround and the mounting piece alone. My grille itself is still intact.

IIRC, they *can* be disassembled, but like you said, only sold as an assembly. Possibly look for a salvage one and just disassemble and get it painted? But keep in mind, if you have adaptive cruise control...it may throw off calibration when you disconnect the radar to swap the grille.

My 2nd gen SR5 had a chrome surround...and Toyota wanted $350 for a painted assembly. Instead, I swapped a SR paint-to-match off a total loss and got it painted 1G3 to match.

Thanks for the reply. Yes they can be disassembled.

I’ve been scouring the interwebs for salvage yards that have a matching colored surround. Only ones I’ve found want a mint to ship, like the one I linked above. The ones with other colors are again expensive to ship, let alone repaint. Can’t find squat locally for 3rd gen's.

Hence my call out for assistance.
    :help:

Full disclosure I’m trying to do all the repairs on the cheapo myself so I can put the little bit of money I got from insurance towards a winch bumper

Maybe buy a cheap assembly and just swap the surround? It shouldn't cost a lot to take the surround itself to a shop and have them paint it.

LKQ/Keystone is a great source for a/m body parts.

I had this problem with my second gen and the color matched are all so expensive. You can pick up a flat black or chrome one for around $100. I then sanded and painted it myself. It's not perfect but from a distance you can't tell.
