I just mow/mulch them into the yard. Why work to bag them up and give up free fertilizer...

Too be honest I've never know to just mow em.. this tree drops so many leaves and wind blows them up into the fence before I'd get a chance to. Eastern plains problems

Same here. Never have bagged leaves. Very satisfying to mulch them into the grass.

I have to blow them first and spread them into an even later across the lawn before I mow them. Get them out of the beds and off the fence then chop them up into pieces. Usually have to do this 2 or 3 times a season. I wish I could wait til they were all down but it would be too much

Might have to invest in a leaf blower and give this a shot.. either way seems like a long day of yardwork

Yep, clear the flowers, spread 'em out and mow 'em under.
The money I save on plastic garbage bags goes towards printer paper. Win/Win.

That is storage. Engine is in the back. Once I get it legal in Colorado I will sell it to you so I can get a Pajero.

I raked mine into a compost pile in the corner so I can re-spread them later. I've got an old-school reel mower that won't mulch (but also doesn't require any gas or batteries, tradeoffs). Mulch pile is overflowing though, maybe I should spread everything back out and run it over with a rental mower from Home Depot.

Honda mower only uses a couple gallons every summer, I mow once or twice a week. I'm due for a blade sharpen though

My front yard is pretty small where the tree is.
The side and back are under pine trees. Pine needles suck

Honda's what's for rent at HD. They're nice mowers (I've rented them before), just more than I need most of the time. I can rent a mower once or twice a year for a few years before I match the cost of buying and I'll have more free space in my shed in the meantime. Small yard perks.

I've given up on grass below trees with needles.... I look at it as natural pine straw....

I guess I go against the grain and bag it all up in the fall. I'll use the mulch plug when mowing in the summer infrequently, but the lawns in my neighborhood form thatch easily (straight clay) so I try to keep dead debris to a minimum.

spray your lawn with hydrogen peroxide with something like this
    https://www.amazon.com/RL-Flo-Maste...X4PEXlSVo0srRa0NmoP8OZZuBsxoCiEUQAvD_BwE&th=1
in the spring and mid summer or more often if you like and it will help break up the clay and break down the thatch and do other nice things for your lawn. Higher concentrations kill crabgrass, some weeds, fungus, promotes healthy roots, shit gets deep green,
I buy it by the gallon.

I use gypsum and fertilizer spring/fall to help condition the clay. This is a shitty new Journey home that left the yard the equivalent of concrete when we moved in.
