What concerts have you seen recently?

Ain't nothing wrong with that, seen a lot of good bands free or really cheap

 

Haha i think the drummer was one of the original lineup.. But they played Fool for the City and Slowride so it was all good. Local free concert series.

 

So rare to see a band not go through changes quickly. ZZ Top lasting 50 years was just stunning, though I couldn't imagine the band if it went through turnover.

Take what we can get especially free. Saw a lot of good old bands free or real cheap and it may not be all the same but oh well. For instance, I saw Don Felder open for Grand Funk and he did all Eagles stuff. Sounded damn good.

 

Last Sunday..Simple Plan, Sum 41, the Offspring.

Don't know anything by the first 2 but was decent. Took 31 years but Offspring was worth it.

 

Danzig 2 nights ago. About my 10th time between him and Misfits.

Never a bad show. Did the whole first album and then a few from 2 and 3.

One opener was Twin Temple, definitely check them out. Satanic doo wop music.

 

Flogging Molly, Detroit Michigan.

 

Spiritbox, Papa Roach, Shinedown 2 night ago. Drizzle to light rain all night but made it work.

A lady who looked in her mid-late 20s brought her 9 year old son. That's some good stuff.

 

Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie last week, missed Ministry cause we got there too late

 

Going to see Dethklok in Las Vegas on Sunday. They are opening for Baby Metal. Glad their opening because I was planning on throwing dildos at BM. 3rd row seats.

 

Dethklok was fucking amazing! It played out like a very long episode of Metalocalypse. You could only see the shadow of the band with a huge screen behind them. They played constantly with only like one 30 second break and didn't introduce themselves until the very end. Highly recommended.

 

Suicidal Tendencies 40th anniversary tour last night. Incredible.

 

Ice Nine Kills, Five Finger Death Punch, and Metallica last Sunday

They put on a pretty good live show.

 

Been a while for me but I was never disappointed in them. Five Finger Death Punch gave me one terrible show out of 5 but made it up big time on the next tour, plus I got to meet the band and got free upgraded tickets.

That's awesome. A meet & greet would be cool. I've seen 5FDP three times, and it's always been a good show. This latest was a little less so than the others because Ivan's mic was having some issues and he ended up calling for a new one.

 

That one was the only bad show I saw of them out of about 5-6 times. Let's just say it was a cluster..

 

I feel slightly out of place here. Last rock concert I was to was 1995-96 Ozzy at PSU. Most recent were Morgan Wallen, Hardy, Thomas Rhett, with some accompanying artists. Blame My Youth opened for Hardy at Stage AE in Pitt and did pretty well for a short set list of about 4 or 5 songs. Going to Beaver Stadium tonight to see Luke Combs. Fiancé bought tickets earlier this week to see Hardy at Red Rocks in October.
