Just picked up my first Tacoma (2023) and after doing some research I've become obsessed with trying to find someone in DFW that can tune my Tacoma with the CVC tune. Not sure if I worded that correctly, but I will mostly be using the truck as a daily driver in town although I'm moving in June to a rural area and will probably need an occasional dirt or even (not offroad) drive. Nothing crazy, but my understanding is that the CVC would fit my application best.

    Thanks for your help

Never heard of CVC, but here's the thread.

Map indicates that there is not a local tuner with that flavor.

I personally am running Downhill Dragon, he's out of North Austin/ Pflugerville.

Brody knows his stuff. He started on a derivative of mild+wild and had since brewed up his own unique tune. It's been a fantastic drive. Very well mannered under light throttle, but it will get up and gallop when you stomp on it. I'd suggest looking into his services.

If you haven’t already gotten your truck tuned, I can certainly help you. I’ve taken over @DownhillDragon (Brody’s) tuning operation for the Austin area. He moved to Arizona. For 3rd gen Tacoma we’ve not only soon excellent increases in Hp/Tq, but also increases in fuel efficiency on top of improved transmission shifting and throttle response. Everyone that I’ve tuned to date has left with a huge smile on their face. I can also custom tune unlike many others as I have complete control over editing the maps. Yes OTT, KD Max, Yotawerx, ect are also great. I definitely won’t downplay them as I’ve driven trucks that have had all of those tunes. What sets me apart from them is that I offer lifetime support for as long as you own the vehicle. Whether you get larger tires, regear, add an AGM battery, or install engine performance mods, I can custom tune for just about anything including disabling that annoying seat belt chime. If you have any questions about the tune, or the tuning process, let me know and I’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

I also support all of Brody’s customers lifetime as well, so if you need a retune for something you’ve changed, hit me up.

Awesome, thanks! I just changed the battery and will be due for a set of tires soon. I'll let you know.

It's a fantastic tune to be sure.

Chris (Texoma) did my lift install. He definitely knows what he is doing, and is a good guy to boot.
