    - CVC Tuning, LLC -

We get consistent feedback for having the smoothest tune in comparison with others. People prefer our shift points and our tip in isn't super aggressive, but a significant improvement over factory. We focus on the overall driving experience, not to maximize power.

Smooth consistent power delivery is what we aim for.

    UPDATES:
    Current Tunes:
    CVC Performance Tacoma: v3.0
    Coyoza MT Tacoma: v3.0
    CVC x Tuned by Loi 4Runner: v2.0
CVC x Tuned by Loi Tundra: v2.0

    1/6/2022:
    - CVC Performance v3.0 & Coyoza MT v3.0 are available locally only for Northern California tunes by @chanvchau and in Iowa by @tunedbyloi (contact via IG)
    - Tunes will be available with other tuners. Contact your tuner for updates.
    - DIY Tune purchases will be updated v3.0. If you have previously purchased a DIY tune file from me and want to update, DM me through our original conversation.

    MADE IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA
The CVC Performance Tune (a.k.a. CVC Tune) was developed in the Bay Area over several months of development. With the specific characteristics of NorCal roads in mind, we modified the original 2.0 OV Tune by tailoring in what we needed to handle the constantly changing road grades. Since its official release in February 2021, it’s been tested and approved by drivers across the US as well as those in Canada with similar terrain.

Note: CVC Tuning, LLC has tunes available for 3rd Gen Tacomas ONLY. The CVC Tune is designated for automatic transmissions only -- for manual transmissions, check out the Coyoza Tune.

    BENEFITS
    Better Throttle Response
All 3rd Gen Tacoma owners should be familiar with the delay/lag in the throttle response when you’re trying to get on the highway, merge into traffic, or beat a yellow light (I know we’ve all been there). The 2.0 OV Tune corrected this and the CVC Tune made it better by modifying the throttle curve for a more consistent response. While most customers are satisfied with the CVC Tune as is, it can be modified to be more or less sensitive depending on your preference.

    No More Gear Hunting
“Gear hunting” is the inconsistent (and annoying) shifting in gears caused by the lack of power in higher gears and excess power in lower gears. It happens in the mountains, on hills, and hell, it even happens on the freeway. It drives us all crazy and the CVC Tune is here to soothe that pain. We noticed gear hunting was still present with the 2.0 OV tune and adjusted the shifting points so your truck holds the correct gears more appropriately. With more logical shift points, you can say bye-bye to fighting with your truck and let it drive the way you want and expect it to.

    Consistent Power Delivery
Tacomas are not underpowered so we’re not looking for peak power here. Believe it or not, at WOT, these trucks and many of these tunes actually perform the same. They’re just under-utilized. How power is delivered and where it’s delivered is what’s important. With the CVC Tune, we focus on consistent power delivery through all ranges. This was especially important in our environment with the constant changes in grades. We needed our trucks to follow what we do, and respond when we wanted it to.

    FAQs
How does the CVC differ from other tunes?
Our shift points are favorable amongst drivers and while our tip in isn't super aggressive, it's much better than factory. With our focus on improving your overall driving experience, we aim for consistent power delivery, not to maximize power. We have the smoothest tune on the market for automatic transmissions. The CVC tune holds its own in cities, flats, and deserts, making it a solid tune for a better overall driving experience.

    How does it affect MPGs?
A majority of drivers typically see an increase of 1-2 MPGs, some drivers have reported no change, and very few have reported a decrease. This is dependent on driving style, fuel variables, truck weight, and environment (terrain, altitude, headwinds, etc).

Note: Contact us if you experience an unusual reduction in MPG and we can troubleshoot to bring your MPGs back to normal. Keep in mind that if you’re smashing on your gas pedal because you like the CVC Tune so much, you will likely see a decrease in MPGs!

    Will this void my warranty?
No, our tunes do not alter any of the vehicle information on the ECU. This makes it completely undetectable. We have not received any reports of anyone being denied warranty services due to our tunes.

    Will my truck pass SMOG?
It's confirmed! Our CVC Tuned trucks passed SMOG without any issues. The systems were updated with new California Smog Regulations. If we passed in California, we're confident it will pass in 49 states as well! We regularly complete SMOG checks in California every 6 months to ensure the CVC Tune is compliant with any changes in regulations.

What if I change my tires? Do I need to pay for another tune?

We do not want to discourage anyone from changing their set up, or modifying their truck. After all, that's why we buy our Tacoma's right? (Well, some of us). All of our Official CVC Tuners on our map offer the same support for our local communities. This means troubleshooting and retunes for changing your tire size and gear ratio are FREE!

If you were previously tuned by us and want to upgrade to the CVC Tune or another tune, reach out to your tuner! We'll just charge you the difference for the upgraded tune, so you DON'T have to pay the full price twice.

Option 1: Find A Tuner Near You

Locate an official tuner near you using the map above and reach out to them via the contact info provided. Our tuners are equipped with the proper hardware and software license to flash CVC and Coyoza tunes onto your truck. Meeting with a tuner in person means you don't need anything on your end other than your truck, keys, and payment! In most cases, it's the easiest way to get your truck tuned, and we offer unlimited support for you and your truck. This includes free re-tunes if you change your truck’s set -up (i.e. tire size, regear), free support, and troubleshooting as needed. Feel like the dealership flashed you back to stock? Let your tuner know and we’ll get you re-tuned for free. We don’t want that to be a concern!

    Option 2: Flash it Yourself
We want our tunes to be accessible for everyone and are constantly expanding our network. But if there isn’t a tuner in your area, you can go the DIY route by first purchasing the cable and software from vF Tuner, and then purchasing your truck’s specific tune file separately from us.

Ok so I heard that I should be fine when smog comes around? Is this true? If so I’m in and ready…

Yes, smog has been confirmed and good to go in California! We will continue to smog every 6 months to ensure we’re compliant with any future changes/updates in smog regulations. Check your dms regarding scheduling!

Just got the CVC tune about a week or so ago. A tank and a half ago. So far it runs great. Im super happy with how its running right now. She wants to go, no more sluggish response.

Now that I added a bunch of weight to my truck winch / winch bumper / heavy km3's 285-75-16/ roof basket and ect. I currently have Valley Runner tune on my truck . Before all the add-ons this tune was magnificent . I reset all lv and truck still wants to downshift to 4th . Before all the add-ons the tune was a great dd tune . But now I find myself looking for something else to help my truck hold gears longer again . Its stupid slightest hill and I get it , it will down shift to 5th and then goes to 4th as im almost over a hill.

Hands down my favorite tune. I’ve been running for about 8 months now and haven’t looked back. It gives an incredibly smooth throttle response with a nice amount of power increase. Hit that ect button and the truck really comes alive. Chan is a stand up guy and stands behind his tune. He was an incredible amount of help when I was tuning and couldn’t recommend anyone better. 10/5 stars.

I got the tune done by Sean here in the northeast. It’s been good so far . Definitely noticed the difference with the gear shifting. This is my only tune so can’t compare it with others

Are you looking into CVC as a remedy for that? We’re not the same tune as the Valley Runner…

We already have a pretty solid following base on social media and by word of mouth! I know, we see everyone creating tunes left and right, but I assure you, the CVC has been well established. We're just now focusing on getting more informational resources for everyone and we cant stop now! If you'd like to try it out, shoot me a dm! I'm also running 35"s and 5.29s on my rig and the truck drives amazing :D

Follow me on IG @chanvchau and #StayTuned! I can get that up for you. I’m on 35”s w/ 5.29s though, truck runs exceptionally better than stock gears. Currently traveling right now, so give me a couple weeks to run a non-testing tune and allow it to relearn to give you more realistic numbers. I’m always testing something!
