Possibly. You may need a small lift to prevent rubbing since that tire size is taller than stock.

X2 for FN wheels. Fantastic guy to work with. I bought the five shooters from him

False. Lift does not equal clearance for IFS.

My 3rd gen rubbed on the mud flaps until I added a small lift, but sure, okay.

And just because it doesn’t rub at ride height doesn’t mean it won’t rub when the suspension cycles. This is one of the most common questions on TacomaWorld, I’m not claiming anything that hasn’t been beaten to death a million times before. Feel free to read in the Suspension subforum and you’ll find the same answer. But hey if all you do is drive to the mall then sure spend more money and upgrade suspension.

Those wheels can be purchased from a dealer for a lot less than that Amazon seller fyi.

If you don’t mind buying used or “brand new take off” you can usually find them for around half that.

About an inch. I left the rear at stock height and added enough lift to the front to take it almost level but left just a smidge of rake. And I'm running the same wheels and tire size you are looking at. But I have 3rd gen and you have a 2nd, so you may need to go higher to clear.

@wi_taco is correct in that when off road you may still get into a rubbing situation (usually when in reverse with the steering at full lock), but a lift will solve it for the 99.9% day-to-day backing out of the driveway rubbing. Understanding that you are willing to lift a bit if you have to, I'd install the wheels and tires and see how it goes. They may clear fine without any need to change anything else. If not, throw some Bilstein 5100's on and call it a day. I assumed that you are wanting these wheels and tires mainly for looks and not off-road performance, so who cares about some occasional rubbing the three times a year you might take it off-road?

I’m 58 and will only use this truck as a dedicated fly fishing drift boat pulling rig. Gravel roads and boat ramps will be the most extreme. Mostly road and highway use. NO off roading.
It already has Toytec Boss Coil overs that allegedly can adjust to 1”

Now we're getting somewhere. Your first comment wasn't all that helpful, but now that you've added some context, we can see the nuance. The lift might not do shit at full stuff, assuming the OP ever finds himself in that situation, but it will prevent the rubbing he may otherwise experience the 365 days a year he has to back out of his driveway. In the end, I agree with you in that if you're rubbing at ride height, simply adding a lift won't solve it under all circumstances. But it probably will solve it under most circumstances, and for most of us, that's good enough.

Oh, there you go. Worst case is you might have to crank up the preload a bit on those CO's.

Well, right now they are significantly cranked with too much preload ive been told. The previous owner did so to run 18” wheels and mud tire.
I need to make this rig more “normal”

If that's the case, I doubt the wheel/tire combo you're looking at will rub since you're already lifted. You may even find you can drop it some.

that’s what I’m wanting to do! Drop it from this nonsense and arrive at a truck that sits like a TRD Pro.
