    Hey Ontarians

I have a couple questions and need some solid suggestions and possibly some fun pokes (I dont mind)

I am doing a complete chrome delete from my taco. I'm at a loss on how to chrome delete my headlights and tail lights without spending a zillion dollars. I don't like tinted out lights but I am looking for brighter lights .....

I also need to know if anyone has a reputable powder coating person. I want to chrome delete my stock rims and add an accent color (preferably blue crush metallic)

And .. I'm having a hard time finding a person that can do an exterior detail to get rid of some of the trail rash I've accumulated this year. I live in Durham Region (Oshawa) but will travel for people that have been vouched for ... I'd like the job done properly!

Buy some TRD pro head/tail lights on eBay. Assuming you don't have the OEM LEDs, they'll be exactly the same but with black instead of chrome. It's what I did for mine and they're not terribly expensive. Don't tint them. I've powdercoated 2 sets of rims at 2 different places in Hamilton and haven't had an issue.

I use ABC powder coating in Port Hope, there's also a place in Oshawa I've used. I'll get you the name if you still need it.
I get a lot of powder coating done, as I restore old cars and the big issue is the price has really gone real freaking crazy.

Part of the issue is these companies can't get workers to run the sandblaster, as no one wants to do this crappy job for minimum wage.

BTW all these PC outfits you or someone you pay has to R&R the parts and transport them to/from the powder coaters.

I'd love the contact info and do you have an approximate cost for powder coating 4 rims (ball park figure)

I bought a vinyl kit I want to try to black out stock rims but I dunno how durable that's going to be

    Thanks a million

ABC charged my son $100 per rim (18"), plus there was the extra cost of R&R the tires, but for him he needed new tires anyways.
ABC was a bit cheaper than the Oshawa guy but last summer was having labour issues.
    abcpowdercoating.com

The Oshawa company is flashpowdercoating.ca and the contact name was Scott Johnstone scott@flashpowdercoating.ca 842 Farewell street.
They used an outside sand blasting company and likely is the reason they cost a bit more.

If doing a special colour they will ask you to pick and supply the powder, you will need about 3 pounds of powder to do 4 rims. Below is a good Canadian supplier of powders.

If they do that chrome powder coating, maybe we can get them to do mine too and get a price break. Maybe a group discount.

You can ask but cerachrome (sp?) is a special process where they have to finish polish the rim with a ceramic vibratory machine and they likely don't have the tool for the job.
