Yes sir.... with about 25mins in between as I r/r'ed them myself.

 

He asked for Dyna on NA engine. That doesn’t look like NA… the graph looks a little weird but those numbers are almost too good to believe from just solenoids unless perhaps your old ones were really clapped out or sticking

Since I am pretty sure that yours is S/C'd.

 

Old original stock vvti solenoids had around 105k miles on them. Weren't sticking and voltage tested them and they seemed fine. Original solenoids were used in previous dyno tests (testing OVT software, etc) and dyno curves never showed a dip or weirdness indicating the stock vvti solenoid was failing.

The dyno chart above was on my supercharged truck and the two pulls were performed as I mentioned. No secrets, no hidden agenda. I didnt/don't know the dyno shop nor operator so this wasnt a buddy's shop that I went to.

I'm about $700 of my own $$$ into dyno sessions. Not planning on putting more $ into testing unless its financed by people who want more.

 

I did ask if there was an NA dyno comparison but from the feedback I'm seeing from people, these do work and no one had any issues with them so far. Will I see the same gains as you did? That's to be seen but from all the reading I've done on these, I'm still interested. Just gotta save up the coin.

 

Same gains as me? I will be the first to tell you no it won't. My testing platform was under pressure (supercharged) while yours is under vaccum (NA). Engine mods can react differently between those two variables.

But will it make a difference on your truck? It is suppose to in a positive way.

And that's what I tried to get answered for the community in the last two years while organizing the GB. These vvti solenoids are not new technology but sort of new (~5yrs) for the 1grfe platform . They've been modding these solenoids since the mid 90s...

 

I'll be dynoing these on a N/A truck here very soon.

Have you ever got your 4runner dynoed to see what kinda power you're putting down Lucario? You seem to have quite the list of mods, would be curious to see how much power you're making.

 

He has not in a long time, but there is a dyno sheet of his, in the N/A dyno thread.

 

It's around what a stock Magnuson supercharged truck will put down. But that was a long time ago.

Looks like they made absolutely no difference on a stock truck per JustDSM’s dyno sheet, but show some gains on @SUMOTNK (as posted earlier) whose truck is supercharged.

 

yeap i saw the thread now. now im just waiting on the results he gets from stock vs cam gear, and hopefully maybe stock vs cam gear + solenoids

 

No dyno graphs but I have cam gears and when I installed these I could not feel any difference. If there was it wasnt enough for me to notice power wise, I dont track my mpg so no idea on that.
