brake controller mounting options

2020 DCLB OR
Looking at adding a brake controller for my trailer but the drivers foot well is so tiny on the 3rd gens I cant seem to find a good spot. Buddy has his under the factory switches by the left knee, but I drill my knee every time I get in or out when I have driven his in the past on road trips.
Anyone have a creative location they have mounted that my vanilla brain cant see?

I bought a REDARC unit and have mine mounted like this (works for 2020+ trucks) If your truck is an automatic, you can install it where the clutch cancel switch would be on the manual trucks (bottom right switch).

REDARC sells both mounts to replace both types of blanks.

 

Used to have my Redarc controller knob installed in the spot referred to above so figured I'd drop a photo of it here. Ended up later moving it to their short OEM switch adaptor insert when I replaced the whole switch panel
