Looks like some sort of chemical got on the plastic display. Just bought this truck and came like this. Any ideas on what to do or how to get it off?

Take it back and have them fix it.
BTW: careful that clear lens scratches extremely easily!

It’s pretty weak plastic, lots of cleaners will eat it up

Pretty cheap, but a bit of a pain to replace it but it’s the right way

Have u tried taking a wet soft cloth to wipe it ? looks like some dash cleaner got on it or some greasy mechanics hand rubbed against it .

Pick up some Meguire's plastic polish. Make sure you get the one that says OK for clear plastic/vinyl convertible top rear windows and headlights on the label. Apply a small amount to the glass to test using a small square of microfiber cloth for eye glasses. You may get lucky, but that looks like damage caused by spillage of something and dry wiping. If the Meguire's won't polish it out, I don't think anything else will work and you'll have to remove the cluster and replace it (clear plastic window. The process is outlined in here some where including the part number for the new plastic window.

I used this on 2nd gen cluster that had some scratches and it helped quite a bit without making it worse.

If you just bought it I’d take it right back and let them take care of it

How long ago did you buy it? If you really just got it, definitely bring it back for the dealer to fix. No need to mess with it yourself and possibly make it worse.

I’m kinda surprised they nor you didn’t notice it while it was on the lot. Some 80grit wet & dry paper will polish that right up.

Actually, don’t touch the thing or try to clean it with anything else except a damp tissue (just a bit of water only). Else take it back to the dealer. They may refuse to fix it if you try cleaning or polishing it yourself.

You could try Plexus. It works like a glass cleaner, except it's for plastics. They use it to clean airplane windshields.

I'd be more concerned with Distance to Empty = 78 with a 3/8 full tank.

Seriously, try cleaning otherwise replace the lens and apply ScreenProTech film and never worry about it again.

I’m just going to replace it, doesn’t look that hard to do from the video link that was posted on here.

Probably caused by an alcohol based cleaner they should not have been using. Follow instructions above by using a plastic polish or just take it back. But I would not expect a perfect result without replacing the lens.

Before you install the new piece, slap Screen ProTech on it.
