I usually do it myself which isn't too hard. But I had to pay for it recently as part of other repair work being done.

Literally, just drain and pump new fluid in. There's a bit of messing around inside the cab to get the dash into a special mode to check the correct amount. Or you can just use a laser temperature gauge. Tons of guides on this forum.

I checked some threads and youtube channels. figuring out if I want to do it myself.

I was surprised that Jiffy Lube won't do anything without a dipstick. But maybe that's a good thing.

If it hasn’t been done at least once by 100k don’t do it. Lifetime fill at that point.

Hi, looking for a mechanic in the Seattle area who can diagnose an issue with a supercharged 2nd gen. Most shops don't want to work on modified vehicles. Any recommendations?

its almost as easy as an oil change. just need a case of oem toyota atf and a way to pump it in to the side of the trans.

And one of these makes it nice too. I have the larger 1.5L one as well Use that thing for all sort of fluid changes (the 1.5L one isnt on Amazon anymore but im sure you can find similar. I use the smaller one from time to time too)

Gregs works on my lifted GX all the time and have always treated us right. In fact, they found a rear main seal leak on the wifes RX a month before her warranty expired and saved us $6500. I still owe them dounts and coffee for that.

    Hey WA!

    need some driving/traffic intel.
Driving to Bellingham area, coming from northern Arizona this weekend.

    I’ll be taking the 4R with 4WD.

I can get to twin falls, Boise, Richland/Kenniwick easily.

gps/google maps says go 90 over snoqualmie pass. I’ve been following WSDOT socials and that looks like a shitshow. Is it really? I wouldn’t mind taking 84 west over to Portland and coming up 5 either.
Any input on routes and road conditions?

90 is the main east/west route in WA and is pretty well maintained so you should be fine unless it closes. Can't comment on 84 as I have never taken it in the winter months but I have heard it gets icy.

The weather for the pass looks clear this weekend, but temps are in the single digits. Like @WrecklessAbandon posted, 90 is maintained pretty well but there will still be morons out there causing wrecks and closing stretches of the highway at times. I'd expect the roads, especially around Snoqualmie Pass to be more crowded due to the long weekend.
    Safe travels!

Yea... my concern would be closures due to others inability to drive. I also have read DOT will close it to knock down avalanche risky snow build up?

I (kinda) forgot about the long weekend, but that's the exact reason we opted to drive up, so that we didn't have to take extended time off from work...

There's the rub, you won't typically know it is closing ahead of time

just checking the route right now, and even 84 in eastern OR is closed right now... can't even get far enough west to make a decision on which route... Hopefully by Sunday the bad weather will be past...
