Probably more expensive than the other solutions but Menards carries these guys and I was happy with the ease of install. Makes repair even in the field pretty easy for the next gash.

Honestly, if the cords aren't cut, just put some tape or something over the cut to protect the cords from damage. That's where the strength is. I have a couple of old hoses like that, I still use them occasionally.

It looks like I’m headed to AZ this weekend. I lost my dad and need to take care of a few things.
    Happy New Year.

Retirement plans may have taken a hit today. One of my co-workers retired today, he looks at me and says: I bet you don't make it past Feb.

Yesterday was a bitch, back hurt pretty bad when I got home, started up again mid morning.

Had a retirement party/monthly safety meeting this morning, which may have been the kicker sending me over the edge. New boss made a pronouncement: As of today, everyone will take your mandatory 1/2 hour lunch. I don't care how busy your afternoon is...

Being transferred to the new terminal we're opening in Green Bay on the 15th. At the meeting this morning, a bunch of the plans for routes, etc for us GB drivers were announced and I was given a sheet of paper to sign up for what I'd be interested in. I'm 7th in seniority, I have a pretty good idea what the 6 above me are after. What is left are a couple of routes that currently are taking guys 10 to 12 hours daily, one requires a metric shit-ton of lifting a couple of times a week, two are up to the UP 4 days a week (likely 12 hour days).

I'm off on the 15th. Was planning on going in to the SS office to get paperwork rolling for April. Now, we're shooting for Feb 1. I'm done with this shit. Funny, I was on the SS site last night, not even thinking of pulling the plug early, but I did notice that the change between Feb and April is only about $50 per month.

Not gonna "like" that! Sorry, Tim.

Was going to say hope you find him, but figured that was in too poor taste, even for me.

I feel your pain. If I didn't have a kid still in HS I would be off to something different... I have my 5 year paperwork/certification/background check monkey business to do this spring and it is HARD to want to spend the time (and out of pocket expense) to do it.
