believe me I couldn't sell Rebecca on the Central Valley if I tried lol. No family close enough to justify it being that far from the coast

I've done a mod or two
Yeah bad CNC programming has its consequences. Also whoever is running it shouldn't walk away until they've proven the program works. It sucks after a bad crash you have to replace some parts yeah that's not the big deal you also have to get the machine aligned

True, I forget that most of those mishaps are from walking away

I mean hell, I don't understand why people walk away from CNC plasma even; every other day it's an issue about "wasted steel" and I think...you could've just fucking stopped the torch when you noticed the issue on letter number 3 instead of having it score your metal through the remaining 12 letters and outline

the Langmuir tabletop had me looking.... it just about offsets the cost of a set of custom spindles, but barely has the workspace to do anything but a modular design.

The welding work adds some more, but that's just now and then so total it up to about $1k a month

Still not bad when I work some 4-10 hours a week sometimes (or less)

    This thing?

    https://www.langmuirsystems.com/arcflat

It's gotta be Chinese cause even PrimeWeld carries it

    https://primeweld.com/products/welding-fixture-table

I almost bought one as it was $760 or so during Black Friday, with free shipping but a laser cut table was a quarter of the price of that thing (without the side walls)

and that sounds fantastic, but I am not close enough to retirement for that, nor do I think scaling from 4-10 hours/week to 40-50 hours a week will mean income goes from $1k/mo to $5k/mo

So, it's one of those words that changes meaning based on how you use it

Kind of like 'yeah' in a response to certain questions, especially the way you say it

Oh for sure; I can't see myself working even 20 hours a week in the garage

I'd be going inside too often to eat, or just goof off as I always have tunes going on in the garage

Then a neighbor passes by and we shoot the shit or have a beer even

I don't consider my work as 'work' as I thoroughly enjoy every bit of it

    How old are ya anyway?

    Ahh, naw pass

As someone on the forum said over a year ago or so, it's great but it seems to have been designed/put together by a 'welder'

I thought I saw an orange hue to my frame when wet. Hopefully that’s the fluid film instead of flash rust.

    @Bandido

I'd check out the MR1 section of the Langmuir forum if you're really interested

Tons of great info on people that own and run the thing; I've seen some awesome stuff made on it which is why I considered one but after reading more and more about their personal experience, it just turned me away
