GMRS is already hard wired. I would recommend this to everyone. When on the tail I can tell who has handheld and who has hardwired.

Relentless Fab hybrid bumper, 2.5” Dobinsons IMS lift, RCI skids and sliders, block heater. Rola rack. Painted FJ Steelies. Was trying to keep it stock, now slowly building for the Wisconsin trails.
Jumping in on this line of thinking. Spares for longer tips/Moab like CV axles, Spare tie rods, Tie rod sleeves if you don't already have them. You may already have all this from last years trip tho.

Recently came across a product called BroncBuster which is a tie rod clamp that can be used on a broken tie rod to limp off the trail. It's designed for Ford Bronco's so no idea if it would fit a Toyota or naw.

I just saw the same thing yesterday and wondering if something similar was available for the Tacoma.

Already carry an extra cv axle and tie rods.

    So. Many. Stickers.
I was thinking about that and then I realized I have like four radios and a car charger so... No hardwired for me. Lol

One of those radios even has multiple power bands up to eight watts.

I might have missed it, but do you have a link for this mount? Also, have you tried it with the new tablet? How do you like it?

Haven't been to any trails yet but I like it. It does wiggle a bit at highway speeds, but you'd have to expect that with that stalk. Holds the tablet well and will be able to plug in power while mounted.

edit: GAIA shows up so much better on a 10" screen!

    Forgot to respond to this...

I have the Germes Lab setup. Mine is for 3rd Gen only with the Entune head unit. It was completely plug and play and works through the radio controls on the steering wheel. They have one for the 2nd Gen (best Gen? really?) '12 -'14, but I believe that's a head unit display, not rearview mirror.

I'd piss away $100 to try these out, only they don't make them for tacoma. Only '22-'23 Tundra

    Screenshot_20240107_135234_Amazon Shopping.jpg

Edit: Would they work on Tacoma? Front sumo springs part # is the same for Tacoma/Tundra.
What makes these icons so vehicle specific?
