What's the best option for me to combat sagging?

Hey guys, I just want to start by saying thank you for all the help you've already given me with other issues that didn't require me making a thread.

I'm in a bit of a bind right now. My leaf packs are toast, and I'm getting body roll and sagging. With just my topper I'm okay, but once I put in my plywood bed platform and my fully loaded drawers, I've got a gnarly bro squat.

I've got a couple options available to me and I was hoping for your advice.

I found some used low-miles Ironman Medium Duty leaf packs for $200 and that seems like a good deal.

The other option is to pick up some used low-mile OEM leaf packs for cheap and then throw in some blue sumosprings, and that'd put me around $300-350.

I'm saving up for a wedding so I don't have a ton of scratch to throw around, but I just want the best solution where it's not too stiff but I don't have any sag either.

The weight will be constant, give or take 100lbs or so of more camping gear on trips.

What do you guys think?

if your trying to save some cash I would recommend getting a proper aftermarket leaf pack. I would stay away from the stock OEM springs you'll just flatten them again, regardless of what else you put on them. If those used Iron man medium duty springs are in good shape for $200 I would grab those. Also keep in mind if you do go for a whole new leaf pack like the ironman and you currently have stock shocks you will probably need to change them too as they are likely too short for the taller leaf pack. However for about $100 you could get a set of Billstein 5100.

 

3" leaf pack works for me, got them on a group buy here on TW. But I also tow a small camper. Good luck with your truck.

 

I have been super happy with the Hellwigs. I put them on early specifically to avoid sagging and they have worked just as I have wanted.

Airbags are also an option. Worked great when we had a shell and Rtt. Solved the body roll problem and helped with leveling the truck at campsites.

 

I have Hellwigs, easy installation- 1 wrench, 40 minutes.

I did a cross-continent trip overloaded by about 30% and the sag was only about 2"
